EnGenius Technologies Smarthome WiFi Your Backbone to A Smarter Home Router (EMH4000)

i have always wanted to try this so-called "mesh router" out to replace my traditional router. my IT guy from work suggested me to check out this new EnGenius EMH4000, since he uses all EnGenius products for our office building. at first i was worry about the setup, because i really don't know much about networking. but turned out the installation is pretty simple. i download the app and just follow step by step and it's working. now my whole house is covered with strong signal. once setup, it can move to anywhere in the house, even to the backyard.and the most of all, the product looks pretty elegant too. i'd recommend to use this product if you are looking to buy mesh router.

Im a very large fan of Engenius products. I have the system in my residence and needed more coverage in the garage. The EnMesh Dot paired up to the network super quick and gave me full coverage in the area it was needed. Cant wait to see this item in faster speeds in the future

Set up through app is very straight forward. It provides graphic and set by set instruction to walk me through. The Dot units are pretty small and looks elegant. My favorite part is the dots allow me to move it from point to point. I can plug it in my backyard when having a BBQ party. Very convenient! I would recommended this to my friends for sure!

The documentation and sales literature does not make it clear that using a phone app is the ONLY way to manage these units and their associated mesh routers. That might be ok for a home application but for managing a group of these, especially in a commercial environment , is totally ridiculous. Doing it that way makes them pretty insecure and thus hard to manage.

The connection was spotty and at times it would disconnect from my engenius mesh wifi network. It was also very hot, so I'm confident it was overheating. Returning for a refund.
