A great artist and a sad loss but so good we ...
He was the Master and what more can be said. As listenable now as when it first came out. In fact I have to say I have been listening a lot to George lately and hearing the Christmas song (not on this album) on the radio and everywhere else I go and felt very moved. A great artist and a sad loss but so good we can still hear his music like this whenever we want to.

Outstanding album
I have always loved George Michael's singing of ballads, and I had this album originally on cassette. Praying for Time, They Won't Go When I Go and Mother's Pride are quite simply outstanding. As if that wasn't enough, this reissue gives us a bonus disc of unplugged songs, providing quite a few more classics, including a real favourite of mine, You Have Been Loved.

Fantasic vocals that left me wanting more
Yes I'll admit that my teenage years were spent in the 80's listening to loads of music so unlike the todays younger generation I appreciate music / lyrics / preformers who can sing ( and not rely on auto tune ). I was more into the New Romantics and the Rock side of the 80's.After seeing the final documentary about his life he made shortly before his untimely demise I decicided to purchase this to add to my collection. All I can say was this is fantasic album / recording and I would strongly recomend this to anyone that does no have the original release.

George’s finest hours on record
It is very sad and difficult to put it this way, but this posthumous coupling of albums represents the finest hour of George Michael (1963-2016). “Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1”, released in 1990 to the crowded pop market, was commercially less successful than the Grammy-winning blockbuster “Faith”. 30 years on, we can see that it is a solid work of art and it is also incredible to see how well some album tracks grown up with time, e.g. “They Won’t Go When I Go” with its innovative backing vocals or the heartbreaking balladry of “Mother’s Pride”. The album, showing George honest openness to various sources of inspiration (the process which continued later), offers cult singles “Praying for Time”, “Freedom 90” and perhaps his best song ever, the perfectly arranged “Cowboys and Angels”.MTV Unplugged (1996) captures George at the top of his live game. Full of gems from his then-recent “Older” LP, it nevertheless includes some of 1980s work, including probably the best Wham hit - “Everything She Wants” and the wonderful version of “I Can’t Make You Love Me”, practically equaling the seminal original of Bonnie Raitt.

Storm in a teacup
Was a gift for my wife who loves his music and told me in no uncertain words she would not even like it as a present as the songs were on the slow side and not his best, but she has not stopped playing this CD since, so explain that ?.
