Reverb Tank - MOD®, 9AB2A1B

Was expecting more
The reverb tank works, I replaced the stock reverb tank in a Roadster Dual Rectifier. This unit sounds lower than stock and at higher volume there is significant noise. All this might be because of installation issues, electrical supply, etc. I don't really know. However, I can still use it, specially in higher gain channels and it's decent for rehearsals and home use.

not as dramatic but gave it a nice smooth reverb compared to the "tinny" sound it did ...
This is the third of this brand I have bought. The first was in a Fender Frontman 65, it made a night and day difference, I went from weak reverb to full surf sound if I wanted. The second went into a Blues Jr, not as dramatic but gave it a nice smooth reverb compared to the "tinny" sound it did have. These two examples were a different version of the MOD tank but then I picked up a Mesa Boogie DC-5 that had a broken reverb tank so bought the MOD 9AB2A1B. From what I read the DC-5 typically had a weak sounding reverb but this tank sounds good in it so will assume that it is as good or better than the original. If I ever need any more reverb tanks I will be using the MOD brand. They tout the construction and sound as that of the vintage tanks and I agree.

Works perfect now. If you can talk and walk you ...
Bought a mesa lone star used on line received and no reverb. Tested the tank and continuity on the output did not work, contacted seller and stated they would fix but would take 8 to 10 weeks. I found this and decided this was worth more than 8 to 10 weeks received in 7 days and placed in amp. Works perfect now. If you can talk and walk you can replace a reverb tank, super easy, unfortunately the average guitar shop doesn't even know what a reverb tank is. I guess that's why they invented the internet.

I wish I had more stars!
This tank is awesome! Much better reverb than the accutronics tank it replaced! Nice warm full long decay! The sound of the reverb is almost digital like in the sense that the reverb sounds so clear! Not much more to say, Mod hit it out of the park!

... Mesa or Fender combo guitar amp is about as easy as it gets
Replacing this tank in a Mesa or Fender combo guitar amp is about as easy as it gets. You just take out the old one usually two screws, and put this one in. Screws go into the wood so exact size is not important. The two plugs are RCA type and easy to plug in.
