Wanted a Glass jug ...But
Decided to give this a go and glad I did. Very sturdy and as pyrex is no longer durable and chips so much this is a good replacement

Too tall and unstable unless almost full
It was not appreciated when ordered just how narrow is the base on these. As they are also quite tall, they are essentially unstable un less full or nearly full of liquid. Although glass would be heavier and thus more stable, it is fragile and the thought of breakage after a drinking glass recently shattered and its smaller shards are still being found a week or so later.These were therefore returned and are to be replaced with larger equivalents.
