I still need help crimping...
I have bought jewelry making books before but I will be honest, I was not (and still am not) sure enough of myself to purchase the "next level" of jewelry making supplies That stuff is expensive! But this book makes me want to try. The next time I am in Michael's Craft Store I will price out the "real stuff" and see if I am better at crimping sterling silver...The overview of materials was helpful and the directions for simple projects were classic designs that most women would wear. The directions were simple and straightforward - but I would like a bit more information about technique. Or maybe a link to you tube videos where I could see the technique? I am still a bit uncomfortable crimping. Did I over crimp? Did I under crimp? Is it going to break and I will lose all of this investment of money, time and energy? But this little book was still helpful. I will keep it for reference and maybe for some Christmas ideas...I was asked to review this product and it was offered to me at a free or reduced cost with the expectation of my fair and honest assessment. My review of this product is unbiased and entirely my own. The opinions I have expressed are based on my impression and experience with the product following adequate use. If you found my review helpful in anyway, please let me know below! :-)

Very Informative!
Silver Jewerly Making: An Easy and Complete Step By Step Guide is a really comprehensive guide geared toward beginners. The book starts with the tools and materials necessary for making jewelry. The author goes over different types of wire, findings and clasps explaining the usefulness of each one. There are guides for melting, soldering and casting silver that are very thorough along with some photographs to guide you in the tasks. The final chapter contains six beautiful jewelry projects you can try, and each one has a complete list of what you need as well as step by step directions that are very well written and easy to understand. The author really stresses safety which is nice! This was more than enough information for me as I just wanted knowledge about tools, wire, findings and clasps and how to use them correctly. I got a lot of knowledge from this book, and I highly recommend it if you're a beginner wanting to learn jewelry making techniques.** I received the Silver Jewerly Making e-book at no charge in order to read it and provide some honest feedback about it. The statements made above are reflective of my personal opinion of this book and have not been influenced by anyone. Like so many others, I often look to product reviews when deciding on a purchase. Therefore, I never give anything less than the truth. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. **

but i always thought that it is a very fun and interesting project because you can do it the ...
I downloaded this ebook because i am very crafty person and i am always looking for new inspiration on how to keep my hands occupied. I have never tried jewelry making, but i always thought that it is a very fun and interesting project because you can do it the way you like it, and failure is almost impossible if you follow basic steps. This book is very well written, and i love the occasional picture that author used, however, i wish these pictures were larger. I am visual person and step by step tutorials or clear pictures can be very helpful, and i often decide from a picture whether or not i would like to make something, rather than have to imagine it. Especially right now, when i still have no idea of how to do things, but i would like to get visual examples.Otherwise this book is very well compiled, author organized it into several chapters, talking about different jewelry making methods, and tools you will need for jewelry making. Then there are several projects with pretty clear instructions on how to make it - but again, one star down because of lack of pictures! I wish there were more pictures, preferably with each recipe.Do not forget to be Creative! - so remember, you can't go wrong, because you just make it your own!I received this ebook for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Illustrations would have helped A LOT
There is a lot of information in this book (Kindle edition) that is useful. It goes through the different tools needed, materials needed and differences in materials, such as dead soft wire vs. spring hard wire. It goes through some of the more common, non-amateur techniques in jewelry making, including soldering and hammering. Since they do go into more of the difficult things, not everyone will have the tools and pieces needed. I make a good bit of jewelry, mostly wire, but i don't have a kiln or torch to melt down silver to cast. This is a decent book for a specific type of jewelry making, which it does kind of give away in the title. It really is a step by step guide, literally each paragraph starting with Step 1, Step 2...The projects in this sound beautiful, unfortunately there are absolutely no illustrations or pictures to show either the steps or maybe more importantly, what the end product should look like. Just a basic sketch would give the reader some confidence that they had read the directions correctly. If i ever get the money to get the pieces needed for some of the techniques and projects in this book, i'll reread it. Until then, it's in my Kindle's archived section. I did get this book at a discount for reviewing it, but i have noticed that is usually on sale or free on Amazon if you get the Kindle version.

Complete is optimistic to say the least
This is at best a poorly cobbled together list of some but not all of the basics. A beginner looking for an introduction will be no better off having read the book and anyone who has ever soldered a piece of silver will find this as functional as a chocolate fire guard. There are paragraphs devoted to a multitude of clasps and toggles which are clearly to be purchased rather than made.. To my mind defeating the purpose of a "complete" guide. Some of the guidance is misleading at best.. And the writer (I hesitate to describe as author) has clearly omitted even rudimentary use of spell check and grammar check let alone proof reading.Avoid wasting money on a speculatively cobbled together pamphlet and buy one of the many fine books which has will guide and inspire the newcomer and amateur alike with genuine insight, useful tips and photos to guide you..

Poorly structured with no photo aids.
This is book is in my opinion very poor for a beginner. It gives a list of tools, projects to try but with no visuals such as photos to show what the tools or projects look like, it is useless. Even if a website to refer to for visuals or a reference link to a video website like Utube were included, this would have made such an improvement in order to connect the contents together for the reader. Don't waste your money buying it.

Good intro to basics, but needs pictures.
I think this is a printed version of an ebook. Throughout it refers to figures/images/illustrations that aren't there, which makes it less helpful than it should be.

Total rubbish!
I can't understand how any of the reviewers could praise this book. It is a complete waste of money. As an experienced silversmith, my opinion is that this book (or pamphlet} is inaccurate, incomplete and , for the most part, totally misleading. I would urge any newbie who has bought this book not to read it, and if you have read it, to totally ignore it. It's absolute garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Not worth its cost
Very basic instructions. No photos even though it is stated that there are some. Very disappointed in this book.
