Ok, let me first say that this coffee is highly caffeinated. I am a very heavy coffee drinker and I have been buying Death Wish since the first Super Bowl ad. I like DW, but it really doesn’t do that much for me as far as the caffeine buzz. I tried this and I definitely feel it.As for the taste, it’s growing on me. I read an article about how the people compare the taste of robusta beans to a burnt tire, and that’s all I could think about when I first tasted this. It doesn’t have a great flavor, but it’s not offensive; just not what I’m used to. If you want a sure fire caffeine buzz, this coffee will do the trick. I saw some other reviewers who mix this with an arabica coffee for the flavor, and that might work but I am not going to the trouble.As I’ve been exploring high caffeine coffees, I didn’t see many honest reviews on taste, so I thought I would give writing one a shot. I plan to try a few more robusta coffees to see if I can find one more palatable.

I’m not gonna lie: I picked up this coffee for the novelty of it. Who doesn’t want to try the most caffeinated coffee in the Milky Way galaxy, just to say they did it?However, the flavor itself was surprisingly subtle, nutty, earthy, with a delicious aroma and lacking the pungent bitterness I would expect from a super-caffeinated brand. The roast itself was surprisingly light compared to the other dark roast and espresso roast beans I have, and the beans themselves are quite dry, much less oily than most other beans. All in all this coffee just tastes great (it makes an absolutely killer iced Americano, where I pour a doppio espresso shot directly onto a glass of ice water) and I would buy it just for how great it tastes.

I don’t know why people always thinks dark roast coffee has more caffeine content. It doesn’t. There’s a reason why this coffee is not dark roast because if it was, most of the caffeine would’ve been roasted off. That’s why it’s not strong tasting. If you’re a real coffee drinker you would know that.The flavor is good. I make cold brew with this. It’s perfect. Last me through out my whole 12 hr shift if I drink 1 whole cup in 4 hr interval.

It does have a lot of caffeine if you follow the brewing guides at the back of the package, I’ll give them that. But overall the taste isn’t something great. I tried brewing it in different ways trying to find ways to enjoy it, i tried chemex, Japanese cold drip, and an aeropress but, to no avail. If you’re looking for a pick me up rather than a flavorful coffee this one’s for you.

Tasty, smooth taste, it is not one of the best, it is the best, highly caffeine content, which you can notice it after you stop using it, i recommend this one for all coffee lovers.

Great tasting coffee and the aroma is heavenly! Pick up is wonderful too. The only downside is the price. 😔 Wish it was cheaper so I could afford it more often.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I personally did not find this coffee neither strong nor tasting pleasantly. I usually buy the Union coffee beans and I have a bean to cup coffee machine and I did not find that this coffee was strong enough or gave me any energy boost, sorry. Just an honest review, perhaps it is a matter of personal taste🤷🏼‍♀️

Taste: Opposite of Arabica. Not bitter, more towards an Alkaline flavor if it's lightly filtered. If you have a strong filter, the taste is almost non existent which can be a good thing.Jitters: Have not experienced them yet and i've had up to 2 strongly brewed cups.Energy: Regardless of brewing method, this coffee does wake me up. And i'm one of those people who is chronically tired. This coffee does it for me.Bowels: This coffee consistently and abnormally activated my bowels several times a day the first week i had it. On the second week it activate my bowels ~ once a day, 2 times max. Very nice cleansing effect.-If brewed incorrectly, will have almost no taste. It will still give you a normal level of energy.

Ok, most important for any drink is the flavour, this is horrible, the smell and taste work in tandem to assault the senses in the worst way!! Currently I’m looking for anything I can add to soften the flavour just so I can get through the rest of the bag and then I’ll likely be returning to Deathwish. I gave a second star only because the price wasn’t bad.

Really enjoyed this coffee. It’s strong and has a good flavour. not bitter or acidic at all. I’m a coffee and caffeine but but I find a couple of cups of this keeps me rocking for a full day. Taste could be just a wee bit more complex but really no complaints... will likely buy again.

This coffee is explosive. I genuinely thought it was taste overpowering but in all honesty its flavour is so good, not too strong and drinkable black or with milk. Its one of the cheaper coffee beans on the market for strength too. Bought 2 batches so far and may continue this if it tastes just as good in the 2nd batch.
