Invincible Compendium Volume 1

As for a lot of people, when the Amazon Prime show came out I fell in love with it and wanted to read the source material. When I saw that the comics had compendium formats I instantly purchased it. After reading it I can firmly say the comic is just as perfect as the show. From the in depth story telling to the graphic and gruesome violence. It all flows so well, it’s rare for a series to have 6 different plot lines all be coherently sound with each other and flow so well that you are gripped and excited to turn the next page, but Robert Kirkman nails it with this. If you want a fun new graphic and gripping take on the currently bland superhero genre this comic is a must read.

I watched the first season of the show when it first came out, and enjoyed it. That being said, I knew I had to go back and read the source material before I watched anymore, so I could compare the two. Being an avid comic reader and collector, I enjoyed this series very much. It has all the things we love about traditional comics, while being unique enough in it's world building and story to keep it interesting.

If you’re anything like me you came here to read when the newest season of the Amazon Prime series ended. This is a good comic and it’s interesting catching the differences! Definitely recommend if you like comics and the series on Prime. This volume ends a little short of season 3’s finale. So lots of reading. Or you could skip and go straight to volume 2. There are differences in the comic versus the series. If you don’t care to know then you won’t miss much. But it is fun to catch the differences!

I love the show, don't get me wrong... but the comic is even better! This collection is worth the money!

I absolutely love this series!Which Robert Kirkman is awesome in his storytelling ability and I love The Walking Dead too by him!But this first compendium is quite the ride!The first 7 issues aren't bad...but once you get to #8 following the big shift, it moves fast and doesn't let up!If you love the tv series, you'll love this even better! - Zach D.

I bought this after watching the show. Just got this book in the mail, looks perfect, thanks amazon!Flipped through some pages and from a first glance the comic is very similar to the show, some panels also got adapted directly to it! The art is also stunning.Can’t wait to get started! Very happy with this
