Once Upon a Time

As a massive Donna Summer fan, her Once Upon A Time album is my personal favourite and I regard as her best. The production is second to none and Donna's vocals simply soar. There is a treasure chest of brilliant songs on this album all displaying Donna's beautiful voice at her very best. From the start to finish, Once Upon A Time is a fantastic album, with something for everyone to enjoy and be truly amazed by.

When I was a young lad, Donna Summer's Greatest hits was one of the first albums I ever bought. A friend of mine had Once Upon a Time and on first listen I loved it. However, being only funded by pocket money I couldn't afford to buy it.I only listened to it that once but it stayed with me. Having bought this cd just recently I am so glad that it still had the same effect. From its opening bars, right through to the end you have an uplifting, genuine disco classic. Stand out tracks are 'faster and faster to nowhere', 'I need you', 'working the midnight shift', 'queen for a day' and the amazing, fantastic and earth-shattering 'Rumor has it'.If only they still made dance music like this.

From the opening bar to the last note, this in my opinion was Donna's best album, all tracks where different, it continued where I Remember Yesterday finished off & it in itself was a terrific album. I'm finally getting all her albums on CD now. I must admit I didn't really expect to be blown away again by this album, but I have been.

I had this fo rmy birthday on 1977. I had this on Vinyl for my birthday in 1977.was and still am I massive Donna summer fan.she was amazing. gone way too soon.this shows how truly amazing she was. Years ahead of her time.RIP. xxxxxxx
