I love this hat! It is very warm and has just enough shape to look good with pretty much whatever outfit I pair with it. It also feels and looks a lot better than wearing a beanie everywhere. I took off the hammer and sickle pin (easy to do) becasue I don't feel super pro-soviet right at the moment. Still looks great!

I have always been a fan of certain types of Soviet equipment and happen to own a few items including one of these hats by a Chinese manufacturer that was of lower quality. I wound up giving it to my son in the Marines before he went to Afghanistan so I was in the market for another. This one is a great addition to my collection. It is a good quality item and seems like it will last plus it is made in Russia. The emblem on the front can be removed if you don't care for it as it is attached by four thin brass wires poked through the front and then spread out against the backside of that face. It is not heavy but a little bulky as compared to a standard watch cap but that is to be expected. It is also very warm and has two tie strings that hold the side flaps up and over the top that will allow you to pull the flaps down to keep your ears warm. Спасибо (thank you).

I'm half Cuban so I wanted something to bring out my inner communist. Bought this hat not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Someone else said that it was costume quality, but I wouldn't say that at all. Obviously it's not going to be a replica but for $12 you're really getting a great deal. The material is comfortable and will definitely keep you warm. I like how you could put the earmuffs up and down. It will be great when I'm trying to pop a squat or seize the means of production. I would give it 5 stars but it was 2 days late on delivery. Overall good deal, I highly recommend.Да здравствует мать Россия ☭

Good old times!I remember trying on my grandpas Ushanka back in Russia when I was little. Then I accidentally found them on amazon. I couldn't believe it :DSo I ordered 1 to try, ordered 2 more for my family, and friends saw it, and asked me to order some for them. So I have ordered probably at least a dozen of those hats in every size and color. They are very good quality, look amazing, and have the good old original feel. They last very long if handled and stored right.One tip for storing them is to take a big jar and put the hat on the jar, just so none of the fur touches anything. That will keep it from getting bad over the summer time. Good old trick from Russia.I live in Canada now, and we have quite cold winters, that makes these hats perfect for these colds. And the white ones are great for hunting in winter! Will be buying more to resell in our store!

The hat itself is comfortable and fit perfectly. After reading several reviews on the size being inconsistent, I was skeptical of the hat being the correct size. It was indeed correct.The hat is warm to me, not too hot. It provided great protection from the cold winds that are common during our winters in the northern Midwest. I have not had the need to tie it tight around my head, but I imagine it would only help to block the wind from the side of my face.A bit of a caveat though, the ties seem a bit inadequate for someone to constantly tie tight, loosen, then retighten. I would suggest sewing on something stronger or to take care not to fray them.As for the pin, I have not adorned the hat with it, nothing political, I just did not feel like doing it. Since, the product was as advertised, it gets a 5.

Received the hat on time. I ordered the hat one size larger, as I wear a 7 1/2 which is a large, I ordered XL to be on the safe side. The hat fits perfectly, not too tight, nor loose. the hat came with the Soviet insignia already attached, this must be due to people having issues attaching them in the past. Well made and the tag says made in Russia. these hats are very warm. I purchased this because I'm a History buff and about as anti-communist as one can get...which is the joke of the hat and me wearing it... A nice note inside the hat from the seller thanking me and to contact him if there were any issues. There weren't... A great curio from the Cold War Era...

My 10 year old son bought this hat for himself. He wanted to leave a review, which he wrote in the headline.He is obsessed with World War II, and wanted this hat so he could play World War II with his brothers. He loves it.He ordered a medium and it fits him pretty well.
