Had a molar removed , 4 days later the pain was unbearable, managed to get an appt with my dentist and he packed it with this, instant relief however it fell out after a day , so bought this on Amazon, an amazing product ,tastes vile , but no pain after a few minutes and if your suffering from dry socket you know the pain 😞, worth every penny 10/10 ,

Had a tooth removed and ended up getting dry socket. The single worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I felt the side of my face was being electrocuted constantly. After attending the dentist, I got the tooth packed and it helped massively. I discovered this is the same stuff they use. If you have dry socket please get this! It will save you from 20/10 pain. Clean the area with some salt water, disinfectant some tweezers and pack it in. It might tingle on your gums and tounge if it touches. But it will help! I recommend doing it at night. Last a few hours but can repack. Note it isn't a paste per say. It's fibres but when you pack it in and it makes contact with saliva it can become paste like. If you use too much you can feel the fibres at the back of your mouth so be cautious not to use too much.

It’s a good product once you get past the initial taste in your mouth. It’s not perhaps the easiest to pinch to then place in gap.

I had upper molar extracted but all a bit traumatic as didn't come out cleanly and more digging about was needed in my gum. The pain after was bad but not as bad as the dry socket a few days later. The salt mouth washes and oil of cloves were not cutting it. As an ex dental nurse I remembered that the dentist dressed the extraction site of people's dry sockets with fibrous material to ease pain. This was the closest I could find and honestly was a life saver for four days. I recommend getting a bit out with sterile tweezers and putting it inside a tiny bit of clean gauze ( I cut up a sterile bandage) and then pack in to extraction site. It numbs brilliantly ( doesn't taste great but pain much decreased). I changed the dressing every few hours when the throbbing started up again. After 4 days I was able stop using it as the gum is starting to knit back together. My dentist rang me to move my root filling appointment forward and I told him tooth was already out under emergency appointment and read out was I was using. He said that was fine but if in few days it was unbearable to go back to get it checked. Luckily getting better. Recommend to put it in gauze as the material is quite friable and you don't wont to be digging it out of extraction site. Also recommend corsodyl to wash out mouth in between changing dressings.

Taste is disgusting rather put up with the pain. Really disappointed

This stuff is brilliant. After suffering from a dry socket I needed something to help with the pain as oral painkillers hardly touched it. My dentist has treated it initially but it's a 30 mile round trip each time so thought I would see if I can buy the paste online. Honestly glad that I did, within 10 minutes of placing the paste in the socket the pain was reduced by 95 % other reviews have said it tastes terrible but I find that it's much better than clove oil, initially it does tingle a bit but the pain relief is worth it. Would honestly suggest this to anyone unlucky enough to be suffering from a dry socket. My only other suggestion is to use very small amounts and build it up until you get it filled as it turns to a paste after it mixes with moisture. Will definitely buy again if needed.

Id been chewing threw paracetamol and ibuprofen after wisdom tooth removal. I didn't have dry socket but the pain was constant and pain relief not working. I tiny bit of this in the socket and I am a new person!!!

What makes this great? - It's self-eliminating - no need to change or replace it - You don't need gauze or anything special to apply it, just clean hands - I used a clean glove too - It lasts nearly 24 hours for one application - It takes pain from a 10 to a 1 or 2 on the pain scale (I just had a baby, and this dry socket has been far worse) - It is THE worst tasting stuff in the world - imagine what skunk spray would taste like mixed with gasoline - so be prepared because it flavors everything you eat - It comes out using water in the curved syringes you can buy on Amazon or get from your dentist - You just roll a small ball of it, and shove it into your dry socket. Your mouth will numb up for a few minutes, but that will go away and slowly the dry socket pain will decrease! I had a tooth extraction that turned into a dry socket, but I couldn't get back into my oral surgeon. My regular dentist didn't have the paste on hand they would normally use, but I mentioned this paste and he said to order it. I was nervous to use it because there weren't great directions and I thought it might get stuck. I finally gave it a try out of desperation and I'm so glad I did. I will always have this on hand for future extractions.

The taste is horrible, but the results are great! Highly recommend

After 4 days of constant pain, found this product. I put it in in the morning and change it out the next morning. Pros: 1. The clove essence almost instantly stopped the pain 2. The reduction in pain lasts all day 3. The paste\mesh slips into the cavity with ease, almost like being sucked into a black hole 4. It is easy to remove when needed and replace 5. It Keeps food from dropping into the cavity It does everything it’s supposed to do with ease of use and amazing value for money given the immediate relief of pain. Cons: 1. Everyone around you can smell the clove essence 2. The heavy clove taste quickly becomes overwhelming and irritating and seems to coat the whole tongue and mouth
