As mentioned in the headline the author seems to have a birds eye view of things that happened during Raja Raja Chola’s regime. What’s impressive is that the way the author ties strings between the content to make it a flowing and engaging story and the clarity that he gives to the content which makes readers think how he got those exact information. As a book it is a must read for anyone who is interested in historical-political-spiritual tamil books. The spiritual (kind of) touches that he gives to the book are very good. Cheers👍

Nicely written.The starting of construction of Big temple of Thanjavur.Steps taken by the king and the practical difficulties faced in construction.We can see how the public were very fond of the great king.

It's describing about pandya emperor and people as well , also the open positives and negatives of chola. And the story narration is beautiful.

Love bala Kumaran s inimitable style of writing. Enjoyed reading it very much. Would recommend to all history novel lovers

Not good paper quality and building work

Marvellous narration of events....intensive study of historial facts have facilitated the author to portray the narration with ease...no space for repitition or. Boredom.....the more the pages travessed more is the excitement....

Readers who wants to know about Rajaraja Cholan and how Rajaraja Cholan had built Thanjavur big temple, they definitely should read Udaiyaar.

The style of narration by Balakumaran in this novel is amazing. I am expecting other volumes in kindle edition soon.
