I have been very satisfied with this product, except I have needed to have it replaced twice in the last three years. A large bubble has formed in the needle chamber because of lost liquid. Apparently the seal does not function as well as one might wish. My compass is stored in a bedroom closet, so the cause is not large temperature fluctuations.I have had a very positive response from the manufacturer. I am able to get a return authorization number right away.I asked if there was any way to add liquid. They responded that there was no way to repair this failure.I do need to pay postage one-way in order to get a replacement compass. So a little extra money for a new compass every 2-3 years.

I own multiple rangers and they are all accurate and durable. Make sure to adjust for declination in your area or you could really get lost.
