Very capable phone
Okay, its a lower priced midrange so it's not going to break any records, but it is a very nice phone. Screen is very clear and easy to read, it's fast and responsive and feels sturdy and well built although I would expect that from Samsung. Battery life seems good, no fast charge is annoying but I can live without it. People give it bad reviews, what do you expect for £200, the camera is good and easy to use, the bloatware is not too much and not invasive, it does exactly what I want.

Not Original UK model, see label image
Something important to highlight with the A7 which may vary from different supplies. The label suggests a ROM change along with charger for a UK plug. The label says, Samsung have been notified, not sure what this means or if it affects the wartenty. No plastic film screen cover which I'm used to seeing on Samsung phones. The phone seems ok otherwise.

Good budget phone.
Its a great phone for the price. The camera in spite being high spec is not impressive but it's OK for what it cost . I bought it for my girlfriend wow loves it and she did want to get bogged down with a contact to get a new smart phone. So it's really good. Her last phone was the Samsung Galaxy 3 a flagship phone back in its time and the A7 more than holds up. Think if you not expecting this to be the top phone you will be happy especially if you not into getting the latest gadgets. It's easy to use and fast. I am tight with my money and got it for £202.00 bargain. I bet someone will get it even cheaper.

The seller is giving a misleading information about this phone
I bought the phone as it says Single sim card and UK version but unfortunately it is not! The phone looks and feels ok but the description of it is totally different and misleading. This phone is neither a UK version nor it is a single sim card (it is in fact a dual sim non UK version phone) hence the information given right here as UK version and single card is just misleading. Amazon should tayhis misleading information seriously!

Flagship features without the flagship price
This phone looks and feels expensive, but in comparison to the leading phones, it is far from that. The phone is fast and easy to use, and everything works well. Face sign-in is fast and accurate, fingerprint recognition is even faster, often unlocking with a quick tap on the sensor. The camera(s) look amazing and take beautiful pictures with good colour accuracy and great detail. The screen looks stunning, displaying vibrant colours, although some may find the maximum brightness too dark for outdoor use. There also seems to be an optimisation issue, causing graphics intensive applications like 3D games to freeze or dip frame rates. However I wouldn't consider this enough to put you off the phone as updates with fixes to the issue are likely to come out very soon. Overall, the phone way exceeded my already high expectations, and I strongly recommend it to anyone in the market for a phone that can do everything and more.

Phone ok but won’t work with any screen protector
Screen protectors don’t work on this phone, the touch screen won’t work with one on.

Great value mid-range phone (but beware language settings)
I upgraded from my entry level 2016 edition of the Galaxy J5 (I am taking real baby steps here). The A7 has 8 times the device storage (64GB) and a terrific camera and a great display. I have no issues with the phone (though wish I had noted in advance that the A7 uses the smaller nano sim, unlike the J5 which has the micro variety). My only criticism, as many other have noted before, is that although this is listed as the "UK version' it launches in Polish when switched on. This is pretty annoying and not as advertised, clearly. On the other hand, after the initial rolling of eyes, I found someone at a phone shop who was able to help and re-set the language (and get me a new sim too).
