Perfect Replacement
This product was purchased as a replacement to my Black Diamond ATC-XP, as I needed an ATC with “guide mode.”I would recommend this device to anyone who needs an ATC. This device is ultralight, ultra durable, and can be used in all necessary ATC situations.I have used this device in ice, mountaineering, canyoneering, and rock climbing. 5/5. Would recommend to all.

Great device
Used for ice climbing in the Adirondacks on weekends to a week of sport climbing in the Red River Gorge, even to haul a camera bag at the anchors of a climb once! Performs as I hoped. If you are in the market for an auto-blocking ATC, consider DMM's hinged version as well, depending on your application and budget. One thing I like is that the release hanger is slightly larger than other models and ore easily accepts a carabiner if not using a sling/cord

Great belay device. Almost identical in bite to a BS ATC, but works ever so slightly better with thinner ropes.
