The rod is pretty nice and a good buy for what you get. I bought the 48” on another site, but it’s a good action rod and used it for panfish and landed a good amount of pickerel on it and has okay backbone for the length. It’s my favorite rod at the moment because it’s good to jump from hole to hole or sit and pick off fish in a honey hole all day long.

I have been hard water fishing,the better part of 45 years for all freshwater speicies of fish, and have had the opportunity to use many ice rods in those years and have found that the HT Ice rods have been the best rods I have ever fished with. Matched up with Ocuma's FS10 series reel and you have one awesome all speicies combo from their ultralite to their heavy action, you just can't beat them. Thanks HT for the awesome product.

I use this rod for perch fishing. Works great but this is the only ice fishing rod I’ve ever broken and couldn’t believe it broke so easily.
