Size:1-(Pack) The First Voice TS145SM-1 is a surface-mounted wall cabinet with an alarm for holding and storing an automated external defibrillator (AED). This cabinet has a steel body for strength, and an alarm to notify individuals who are within hearing range of a potential emergency if the door is opened. The alarm on this cabinet operates either on a 9V battery (included) or it can be hard-wired to a building security system (instructions included). When connected to a battery, the alarm emits a sound that ranges from 85 to 120 decibels (dBA) when the door is opened, and chirps when the battery is low. When connected to a security system, the alarm emits a sound at 120 dBA when the door is opened. The alarm can be configured to shut off automatically either 30 seconds or three minutes after the door is opened, or it can be configured to be shut off manually either with a key or when the door is closed. This cabinet has a white enamel finish that resists corrosion, and a clear acrylic window and red lettering to facilitate visual identification of the AED. Four holes are punched in the back of this cabinet for a wall-mount. Mounting instructions are included, and fasteners and tools are sold separately. Assembly is required for the handle and door latch on this cabinet. Assembly instructions are included, assembly tools are sold separately. Very Disappointing/Irritating -- Product and Vendor
Bought this to secure a defibrillator in a semi-public space. First, the issues with the product:The unsecured alarm module is entirely inside the cabinet. There's a common computer-case-type lock on the outside of the cabinet that turns on the alarm. Close the door after opening it, and the sound is 90% muffled. Worse, as shipped, the alarm is set to shut off as soon as the door is shut. You have to set a nearly-inaccessible row of DIP switches to require the key to shut it off. However, worse even yet is a fairly obvious shut off switch right on the alarm unit that overrides the key switch. If you're looking for an alarmed cabinet to alert you if anyone is stealing your defibrillator, this might not be it. (It can be wired into your main alarm system, but that will cost more than this cabinet.)Second, the vendor, Cardiac Life, is a non-stocking drop shipper, with a fast-talking salesman who called me up and tried to get me to cancel my defibrillator order with Amazon and place it through him. He told me I shouldn't have ordered the Home for a semi-public place, that it had an inferior warranty to the Onsite version and came with different accessories. I called up Philips US sales office, was told there is only one version of the product, that some companies sell it as the Home and some as the Onsite, but it's the one and only Heartstart product from Philips, with an 8-year warranty under whichever name it's sold. Called the salesman back and told him just to ship my cabinet. He told me it was already shipped. It actually shipped several days later from the manufacturer, arriving a week after the defibrillator did. At the time Amazon posted the "shipped" update, it only said "drop-shipped" in the tracking number field. It took another phone call to the salesman to get him to get my tracking number.

Item Does Not Have Key Switch As Pictured
The cabinet as shown in the picture has a key switch to dis-arm the siren if it is activated by opening the door. This was an important feature in selecting which cabinet to purchase. The cabinet I received does not have the key switch to dis-arm it; there is a toggle switch inside the cabinet. This is an issue because would-be thieves are deterred if the alarm must be dis-armed with a key. Otherwise, they can quickly turn off the alarm with the toggle switch.

Nice cabinet for the price, but not large enough to hold both the adult and juvenile paddles

Easy to install and use
Easy to install and use. Reviewers who complained about the loud beep should remember that this device is used in emergency situations.

Four Stars
Works well for just the AED, needs to be modified/deepened if it needs to hold the children paddles.

Very nice, sturdy cabinet
Very nice, sturdy cabinet. The alarm is loud enough to startle but not crazy loud. The cabinet is installed outside of a church sanctuary and looks really good.

Awesome price, easy to install on the wall, for a really good solid cabinet with Alarm.
Great price, a little tight could be a little deeper! But for the price it was exactly what I was looking for the school I work!
