Ive used Kaspersky for 5 years. This year was the first time ive purchased via Amazon. It was very easy. You order, then you pay. You then get an email with the actvation code. If you have Kaspersky already, you just enter the new code under 'subscriptions' on My Kaspersky ( your account page). If not, just load Kaspersky via the Google Store or your device app store and when it asks to either accept the free version or enter a new subscription, just enter the activation code. Having used the main four security providers, Kaspersky is the one that outshines the rest. It stops adverts, banners and of course those constant attempts to rob you. Worth every penny!!

Excellent Product

So here is my review, I have used Kaspersky since 2017, it has blocked all webpages that are suspicious and the scans of USB sticks and other media are fast. The price is very competitive for the software as I have the Total version. My main gripe is when it comes to the software flagging an .exercise like Reason for instance, I tell it that it is trusted but it is like it can't remember. To make sure an update or something else had not affected the software I installed 1909 Win10 but with no change.. It does this to a few brought packages which I have no answer for. Now would it stop me renewing well no, I have just extended a further two years as the software does not really impact on performance and is easy to setup.

Kaspersky total security is my favourite of the all in one security packages and this is my 4th year using it. Always uninstall and buy digitally from amazon - it’s about 1/3 the price of renewing. Not much has changed this year - same great product with a slightly (very slightly) updated user interface. New this year so far seems to be an improved software updater that’s a nice touch. Reason I use this is that It regularly scores highest on malware tests, and as a bonus comes with actually useful tools like webcam blocker, the update checker, privacy and security optimisation browser plug-ins and such, and is very light on system resources - I don’t need to turn it off to game for example. I’ve bought a couple of computers that have come with trials of norton or trend micro and the just feel sub par by comparison. Minus 1 star from a perfect 5 for continuing to bundle kaspersky’s overpriced VPN software trial, and dumb region locking. The VPN can be removed post install by searching ‘add or remove programs’, but the region locking seemed particularly lazy. I didn’t notice when I bought this that it was UK only - that’s my bad, it says right on the page - but kaspersky’s enforcement is very lazy. I’m currently in Australia, but bought from the UK as my kaspersky account and payment card are still UK-based. It let me activate that serial fine (so no refund possibility) but then wouldn’t activate the software once downloaded even though the last one worked fine until the day before lol. They know my account, my history, my hardware, etc. it should work better. However all good as activated fine when using a VPN and no problems since with the VPN turned off.

I use Total Security for my desktop and was introduced to it by Barclays bank which used to give it to customers for free. I now buy it as it has always performed flawlessly, it is fast and never leads to my computer slowing down where other anti-virus options my family had used in the past seemed take up too much memory and slow the computer down a lot. I also use functions like the "Safe money" browser for banking and other financial websites. I have also blocked websites that I would rather not visit due to content / viruses. Total Security now seems to add extensions to internet browsers automatically so passwords are secure when typed into a browser - this eliminates the possibility of 'key loggers" being able to know what you have typed when entering passwords. Any USB / memory cards are automatically scanned and occasional suggestions are made for possible security patches that might be needed on software. I also occasionally use the free VPN allowance which is around 200mb per day. I would say Total Security borders on being too secure, but I would rather that be the case. For example clicking on "deals" on certain websites will not be allowed because they use click through companies to get data for commission purposes. Sometimes this can be an inconvenience and Kaspersky do not have instructions on dealing with this that are easy to find. However, overall I am happy with Kaspersky, it's performance and the vast array of options and functions that are there if I need to change my settings manually.

My review title says it all - it's a very good product and getting the activation code through Amazon is the simplest and probably the most reasonable way of purchasing this product. 1) You purchase this product on Amazon; 2) you'll get an email from Amazon with an activation code; 3) if you already have an online account with Kaspersky, you visit their website and log in to your account (if you don't already have your account, create one); 4) in the 'Licence' tab in your account page on Kaspersky, go down the page and enter the activation code you've just purchased on Amazon; 5) now in your product page, you can see what product is waiting to be downloaded, and if you've purchased one for 3x PCs, you can download it and install it up to 3 times; 6) download it on your PC and install it - easy! 7) for the 2nd and the 3rd PCs you want to install it on, repeat the process in 3) onwards - that's all. *But use the 2nd and the 3rd PCs respectively to do the downloading process, i.e. don't use the 1st PC to install it on the 2nd and the 3rd PCs. 8) This is a product for consumers in the UK, which means you can't install it outside the UK. So if you want to take your laptop to the European continent, Asia, USA etc., download and install it within the UK before travelling. Hope this helps.
