When i needed the perfect Wireless Camera System,Annke Answered my prayers
Lets start from the beginning,I have absolutely been searching for a wireless system for around 3 months,I've tried the big names such as Arlo and different ones,Just wasn't pleased with the quality, features, dead batteries after 2 days etc,Thats when i come across this camera system and this brand Annke that i have never heard of. I decided as a last resort lets go ahead and try this it consisted of 4 cameras,1 tb drive and 2 easy ways to install All for a great low price! I was shocked and Highly impressed when i first opened the box and plugged everything in 30 seconds,Within 30 seconds,I already had a camera online to test and was absolutely shocked by how awesome the software and camera quality were. Set up consisted of plugging in an Ethernet from the back of the ANNKE Box to my router, plugging in the power cord and mouse that is included,Lastly the HDMI to my monitor. Approx 15 Seconds. Turned off to find a set up window popping in,walked me thru 3 steps to set up my WiFi,time and camera set up. I loved the idea of having a choice between to wire the cameras using a wall outlet or using my Poe switch with Ethernet cables. Video quality: Absolutely stunning and especially the low price you pay for 4 camera system with this,Visuals are very clear and motion is extremely smooth,You can clearly make out the persons face, clothes etc. True 1080P all the way! Set up: Extremely easy.Came with 4 screws per camera,Literally screwed to the studs and i was done, I found each camera very easy to install and angle correctly,Took seconds! Couldn't have asked for an easier way! Support: Absolutely great and response time was very prompt,Support answered all my questions and concerns, even had issues before receiving which they were graciously enough to fix and solve. Price Point* 269.99 At the time also - 50.00 coupon on amazon-Your receiving 4 cameras, mouse, Annke Box to power,VGA Adapter converter. Thank you Annke for standing by your product and making such a wonderful System,I look forward to buying another system soon for my Other Houses and such as needed! Will be returning to you!

High quality Camera for home security use !
I got this camera for my new house. First reason is to monitor my older dog when I at work and second reason is to secure my house when I am away. It come with everything you need to set it up. There are four 1080P waterproof wifi Camera. There are two ports, one is for power and another one is Ethernet(optional). If it used for business and wifi signal is really week in some area, the Ethernet cable will strength the connection. There also come a square box(host) which has build in 1T hard drive. The set up is supper easy, on square box connect HDMI to monitor, connect ethernet cable to my router, can connect the power. For camera side, I just connect four camera with power in my house. On the screen, there will be a quick set up guide if you dont want to make custom set up.Takes me about 1 mins. There is NO need password for login at first time. I can set it up later if I want. For the phone app set up, very straight forward as well. Download the app, register using email address, copy the IP address under Network setup(from host) and manual type in the address. The quality of video is very impressive for day and night. The 1TB hard drive can provide me very long trace video file that I can play back. I can also set up the sensitive alarm which can detect any movement and send a email to me immediately. This is waterproof camera, so will not worry about raining. I can put one in my drive way and monitor my front door as well. With this camera, I can easily monitor my dog and make my home much safer than ever. Thanks

The NVR/hard drive failed after 30 day return window. Customer service is trying to resolve issue.
Update to 4 stars: Customer service sent replacement NVR and so far so good. I was reluctant to change out the NVR because I had the cameras working pretty good and didn't want to take them down to switch them to a new NVR. But thanks to the instructions my CS rep sent, connecting the cameras was pretty easy. The worst part was getting the time set correctly! All the cameras are outdoors and 2 of them are approximately 40' from the house and I couldn't get them to stay connected. I added the antenna extension to the one in front yard and that has helped a lot. I plan to buy another extension for the one in the backyard. If all goes well with this set up, I'll be willing to buy 2 additional Annke cameras to replace 2 older wifi cameras. I like that this set doesn't have to be connected to wifi, but I will say that it does interfere with my wifi signal and I had to move things around to get everything back to normal. Update: Customer service is attempting to resolve the problem with the NVR resetting itself. It could be the power supply or the hard drive, but they've offered to replace the NVR. Will update when and if it is resolved. I loved this system. I set it up in under an hour. It doesn't have to be connected to wireless - just connect a monitor to watch it live. Recording setup was also straightforward. The 4 cameras are all outside and though 1 of them drops off occasionally, the picture is very good. The night vision is okay as well. I haven't been able to get the sound to work on the TV I have it hooked up to even after following all directions but that's not a big deal to me. I had just looked for additional cameras to add to it when the NVR started resetting itself sometime during the night. The first couple of times wasn't a big deal. I knew something had happened because the monitor had an 8 camera view instead of the 4 camera split I set up. Everything seemed to be working and the recording was still happening, so I didn't worry about it. Then the next time it happened, the hard drive wouldn't start and said it needed to be formatted. Reformatting meant that I lost all the footage I had recorded but there wasn't another option. I followed the steps to format the hard drive but for some reason it kept stopping and putting up error messages. I contacted customer support at this point and they told me to uninstall and reinstall the hd. And that worked. But the system still reset and I asked them what was causing the problem. They gave me a list of things to try including using a spare hard drive and power supply neither of which I had. They also said to uninstall the hard drive and see if the NVR still reset. So far that seems to have solved the problem. But they won't replace the hard drive unless I send them a video of the NVR resetting. What that will tell them I have no idea. But it's either send them a video (I've got a cute cat video I could send) or pack it up and return it to them and once they get it they say they'll send me a replacement. They don't trust me? I don't trust them. I can't recommend this system to anyone unless you can afford to replace the hard drive and possibly the power supply. Good customer service makes up for having problems with an item. Bad customer service just makes it a bad purchase.

Hard drive failure first week of ownership - Review Updated - 10/18/19 Updated Review
FINAL UPDATE: 10/18/2019 After a year and 5 days of owning this product, I've finally pulled this out and will look for another security system. The term - 'you get what you paid for' is very true with this product. I CANNOT recommend this product, but to anyone who purchase this and not have any issue, you're very lucky. I wish I could say the same to me. I'm giving this item a very low score - 1 star. UPDATE: 07/23/19 Hello it's me again and sorry to keep posting these updates. After several weeks of one camera being out of commission, I finally received a replacement. It took a while to get the replacement because it totally depends on the support person you will get. The first support gave me the run around, that they don't have a single camera on stock and will send me a package of 4 as long as I promise to return the other three. That is such a BS if you ask me. Then, another support who had helped me in the past, she was able to send me a replacement within a day. So my recommendation, if you've had issue with this company and you're happy with the support personnel who helped you, keep their email address, that way if you had another problem with the product, you can email him/her directly. I trully hope this will be my last posting regarding this product. God Bless you all. UPDATE: 07/03/19 Hello Folks, I just wanted to give another update after owning this $260 camera security system from annke. It is sad to say after owning this system for 8 months, one of the camera DIED. I am now in the process of working the issue with annke support, they've asked again, for me to do some troubleshooting steps following their instructions but, the camera won't power up. I am now waiting for the "After sale department" as what they call it for a solution. I'll keep you all posted on whatever the outcome be, so please stay tuned. UPDATE: 02/02/19 Well it's time for an update. Annke has finally come through. I still cannot give 5 stars and that is due to the amount of time and frustrations that entails this purchase. They did send me the wrong hard drive at first, but they finally send me the correct one. All in all it took more than a month to get the unit in full working order, but truly appreciate the efforts. Now that I have a working unit, I can give my honest review. This unit is not bad at all, it is plug and play and camera range is really good, I've never had any disconnects. The video quality is what's expected for a 250 system, it's clear during day and night recording. Setting up recording schedules, video playbacks using the gui is fairly simple and easy to learn. So far, this unit has worked without any issues almost a month now First Review: The hard drive in the system failed (disk write error) first week of owning it. Contacted support who insist on to reformat the drive, reformatted the drive 4x, still getting the same error. Support is impossible to get on the phone nor reply on a timely manner, support is somewhere in China. I will never buy another Annke product. I may have to buy another hd just to get recording to work. I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

Good wireless range & camera quality
I'm really liking the 4 cameras I got let me tell you why. Pros: The quality is amazing & I really enjoy being able to see at night. There is 5 modes you can use for your cameras, IR, Daytime, night-time, color mode and auto. It's very easy to configure through the NVR itself, I have mine broadcasting live to my local network and it works great. Range for me through 5 walls - 25 meters away get's 3-4 bars connection quality, very surprised to be honest as I thought it'd have to use the extra antenna for that camera. It is truly plug and play I never had to find the camera on the NVR & it automatically detected the camera once it was powered. The night vision works great(IR). Price matches quality. I can view the cameras remotely from my phone & have it buzz me when motion is detected. Cons: The web-based setting's are more confusing than the NVR settings, most lack insight to what they do. The power cord for the cameras could be longer. If you connect through the web monitor & user interface, the quality does slightly become more pixelated online but the recording directly to the NVR is unaffected by this. This probably won't be a issue for everyone as I assume it's my connection's causing the issue. Overall thoughts: I really like the setup I got right now & for the price I'm surprised it turned out to be this nice. I don't regret buying and I'm looking forward to adding more cameras in the future.

A bargain at this price. With bargain limitations
Yes, it works. If you're mechanically inclined, the installation is pretty easy. Finding routes for the wiring into the living space for power to the camera requires a little creativity. Be careful of hidden wires, pipes, etc. when drilling into the walls. Watch the youtube videos for ideas on routing the wires. Do yourself a favor and spend several hours planning and testing the locations of the cameras before you start drilling holes in your house. I found the cameras connected wirelessly without issue through up to 4 vinyl sided walls at 40 feet from the NVR. I purchased extension power cables and needed every foot of them to connect the camera's power supply. It's easier to just install a new outlet in some situations but probably not cheaper. The extension power cables are about $ 9.00 for 30 feet. The first floor camera's wiring was run behind the siding and through a hole into the basement. Second floor went into the attic to an outlet. The cameras only have a 70 degree image , so plan accordingly. The night vision IR LED'S show up red in the dark making it pretty easy for someone to spot your camera if they look close enough. I hid mine under the eaves of the house tucked up by the gutter downspout. The LED'S will cause a flare in the image at night if they reflect off the white eaves of my house. I had to fiddle with the positioning to eliminate the flare. Be sure to check the image at night before permanently installing the camera. The manual provides a picture-type flow chart for the order to connect the electronics. I followed the order given and the cameras connected automatically. The daytime images are very clear, but at 2 megapixles, don't expect to enlarge them much. Nightvision is OK, lots of washout from vehicle headlights. Hard to pick up a license plate at any distance at night. It will show images at 100 feet at night, but without the ability to enlarge, they're useless. Maybe some tech savvy people could enhance them. Probably above my pay grade. I hooked it up to my HDTV via HDMI cable and it works really well for a monitor. Basically plug and play. Just read the manual and don't skip any steps. A wireless mouse is a must for viewing on a wall mounted TV. The playback is straightforward, no surprises . There's a FF but I can't find a slow motion. Works great on a strong internet connection, a little twitchy when the speed drops. Overall it's a great system for under $300.00 with the hard drive already installed and formatted. Actually having fun learning the ins-and-outs of the system. Haven't needed customer support , so , can't comment on that. Hope you like it. Update 05/09/2020 Ok, you get what you pay for. The app recently crashed and in 5 months, there's still no workable app for your remote viewing and notifications. Check the play store and read the reviews. Same canned response from customer service with no actual help. Guess I can either stay home and stare at the images on the wired system or use this for a paperweight. Cameras and hard drive are useless without reliable remote viewing and notifications. My advice is look elsewhere for a better system.

Great app connectivity.
This are a really good cameras. The quality is nice as you can see on the video i plug them into our tv so is easy to just switch imputs and know whats going on outside. Connectig the box to the TV was pretty easy just plug and play bassicly it will detect the cameras automatically. And all the settings on tbe program are easy enough to understand. Not only the video quality is good but they also come with mics so you can hear whats going on and the sound is clear. What i like the most is how easy is to access on your phone with their app, wich let you look at previus recordings and take screenshoots or videos of a specific time. Im seriously considering getting extra cameras as this is allows to connect 4 more. Overall is a great investment and will help you feel safer.
