Works for Tesla License Plate
(Many) Tesla vehicles use 6mm 5M screws for the rear license plate. If you add a frame, then you'd need 8mm screws to account for the extra thickness. But if you have one of those fancy silicone license plate frames and a clear protector, 8mm won't cut it; you need 16mm. Now you can tell this isn't being marketed for license plates because it's a pack of 50, not 4 or 8. But they worked great for an over-the-top Tesla license plate setup. They are stainless steel, which should protect from rust, and they require a torx security bit to install and uninstall, which should protect from a casual thief (but probably not a dedicated thief). The head is kind of small. So by themselves they would go right through the typical license plate hole. But if you're at the point that you need these screws, you'll also be using screw caps and those will provide the extra diameter to keep the screws from passing through the mounting holes.

Security screws.
Bought as security screws for my new taillights. Make it harder for the average taillight theif to make off with my stuff is usually enough to make them move on.

Perfect fit for my scooter kick stand. Good functional product for security.
I needed an M6 bit and new bolts/screws for my scooter kick stand. It was a perfect fit. These have a black coating on them and I don't expect any rust issues. The quality is good, not bad, but nothing special either. The key reason why this is important is because this is a security bit which has a pin/hole in the middle to prevent most people from easily stealing your license plate or something you are trying to protect since it's less common than a philips screw. Great functionality.

Deep threads may be a no
Good quality black coating on the screws. It is a deep black. They advertise the screws as having deep threads and I initially thought that’s good but it turned out it wasn’t. These are machine screws and need to be precise unlike wood screws where you do want deep threads. If what you’re screwing into has been worn down over time it may be good but for me it wasn’t. I needed force to screw in because the deep threads are rethreading the machined holes so I ended up with fine brass shavings. If you’re using a nut with these screws then it works fine since the nut can be replaced but if it’s a machined hole in an object then maybe think twice.

I thought stainless steel would not rust
These screws are rusting -- cheap grade of stainless steel as they should not rust.

Tamper resistant, stainless steel, Torx drive bolts.
The threads on these bolts are course and deep and are full threaded (i.e. the threads go the entire length of the shaft) which makes them able to be tightened all the way down to the bolt's head. I'm using these with rivnuts to assemble an all metal shed that requires various lengths and thicknesses. Included with these screws is a Torx screwdriver bit that must be used to insert or remove the screw. I use these Torx screws on the hinges and clasps making it more difficult for someone to remove the screws without the Torx bit.
