Gutes Material mit benötigten handwerklichen Fähigkeiten
Diese Stegplatte ist leicht und relativ stabil. Die Transparenz ist ausreichend. Die Bearbeitung mit einem Werkzeugmesser ist aber nicht zu empfehlen, denn man kann sich schnell verletzen, indem man abrutscht. Auch die Bearbeitung mit einer Stichsäge hat 2 Aspekte: Quer zur Rippenführung = geht relativ gut Längs zur Rippenführung = Richtungsabweichungen sind durch die Rippen leicht möglich. Gegen eindringendes Regenwasser müssen die offenen Seiten abgedichtet werden, sonst sind Verschmutzungen und unschönes Aussehen garantiert. Die Abdichtung kann man mit Aluminiumkantenleisten (gab es im GLOBUS BM) + Karosserie-Silikonklebstoff abdichten. Ich empfinde die Platte als gut, aber man benötigt gute handwerkliche Fähigkeiten.
