The coiled cables don't' stay coiled very well. After few uses where they were extended , they are now twice longer than they were originally. Still does the trick, but not exactly what I expected quality wise. From the security standpoint, they are more a deterrent than an actual security lock - basically, hopefully, will help with somebody grabbing your stuff because it's laying untied and unattended.

The numbers are small and am having a heck of a time setting the combination. Don’t think I will be able to use them for my skis. Numbers are too small to see in a darker areas

These things are petite, so definitely NOT suitable for large items, such as bicycles or lashing a backpack or suitcase to furniture. My husband and I do a good bit of traveling internationally. We experienced pickpocket attempts (both unsuccessful) in Barcelona and Prague, so I always try to secure my belongings. These cute little locks with cables will not prevent someone with wire cutters, but I suspect most thieves aren’t walking around with wire cutters. They are looking for wallets that can be lifted from a bag or pocket. For this reason, I do think these will be a deterrent. I’ll connect one to my travel wallet and loop it around a ring inside my bag. The other will be used by my husband or I’ll use it to attach my cell phone to my belt loop. The listing on Amazon does not make this clear, but there are TWO locks included in this package, all for under the current price of $7. One has a white lock, the other is black. These have a small button on the edge which opens the carabiner lock, of course when the proper code is selected. On my white lock, the mechanism is a bit faulty. When the button is depressed, the carabiner opens, but when released, it does not fully close again and the combination rollers cannot be moved. On this particular lock, I can manually close the catch then the lock works as it should. I’m not especially concerned since I can just ignore the button on this lock. And, for only $7 for two, I’m not expecting perfection. These will be perfect for securing my wallet inside my bag. Because of the glitch in the white lock, I must deduct one star, four stars.
