Vionic Women's Walk Max Wanderer

I have very high arches, with a narrow foot, and finding any kind of foot wear with sufficient arch support is always a huge chore. Being a fan of Vionic, and after reading the reviews, I decided to give these a try. I'm glad I took a chance because these are extremely comfortable, and have superior arch support. They are a bit overpriced here, in my opinion. After purchasing these, I found them much cheaper, in some cases half the price, on other site. (But of course they were out of stock in my size.) I am hoping that the straps hold up well because of some of the negative reviews in that regard. but over all, I am very pleased so far. I do have Vionic sandals that are slip-ons, and they have wonderful arch support, such as the Vionic Renewal sandal, but I decided to try a pair with a back strap because I felt it would keep my foot more stable, and not slide from side to side, throwing my knees out of line. And that's exactly what these do. ALL of the straps are adjustable, so they accommodate my narrow width, but will definitely work with medium or wide widths. If you have very high arches I highly recommend these. But, do your homework, and look around the web for a better price then what is offered here, you might just get lucky.

I bought these walking sandals to wear on vacation and I walked about 21,000 steps every day. They are comfortable and have great arch support. They are easy to adjust and to get on and off with the Velcro straps, and they dry quickly if you have puddles after a rain. They were expensive but I found them to be worth the price. They certainly met all of my expectations. The quality was good. I have also washed them in the washing machine and they washed beautifully. I wear a size 6.

Very well made, and attractive, good quality leather, very adjustable, might run slightly large. I wear an 8 1/2 - 9, the 9 was too big, the 8 1/2 seems right. Good traction and a very stable shoe. I like the overall size and look, a nice big sole that gives some protection to your toes without looking big, but tbh I like big chunky shoes, I couldn't find any platforms that fit, these look good to me. I'm still deciding if the arch support will be too much for my foot. Hoping they work for me, I really like them. Edit: Sadly I have to return, the arch was too high, it made my toes swell up. A too high arch is bad for your feet like no arch support it turns out. It's a great shoe IF you can wear Vionic. I'll stick with my TEVAs.

I got this pair for $120, Vionic sells them for $160. They're not worth a fraction of that. The straps are fastened with velcro. Velcro works when the "hooks" can grab onto to the "loops". Try to stick together two strips of the hooks, it won't work. The toe strap on this sandal has a small strip of loops, but only on the inner two-thirds of the strap. The outer third has the hooks. The part you're trying to stick the strap to has hooks as well. If your feet are medium to wide in width, the strap cannot be held in place. It doesn't stick at all. I didn't keep them since obviously I can't wear them, but you should also know the highest point of the ample arch support is positioned to hit not at the apex of your arch, but an inch or two closer to your toes. The back half of my arch and my heel were in pain almost immediately, as my arch wasn't supported by anything. Also these look even worse in person than they do in the images. They look very plastic-y, so pretty childish despite being all black. I have loved wearing other Vionic shoes, so I'm sorry to see they've abandoned their old attention to detail.

It was painful to try these sandals on for a few seconds - the arch support is so high that it seems some sort of design mistake happened or manufacturing glitch. These sandals have a great potential but the excessive arch support makes them unwearable and I have normal feet; no arch issues.

I’ll be traveling in a few weeks to and area with many different terrains and I was looking for a great walking sandal with hip and great feet support. My right hip has some issues due to side effects of Chemo. I’ve been walking lopsided for a few years which also ( I think) caused a bunion to pop out. Chat GPT recommended these as the best match for my issues. Ive always thought folks who touted miraculous pain free walking were full of 💩 , but I’ve got to say that these sandals are a miracle! First of all the sole is fashion yet very soft and comfortable. The foot bed keeps my right foot from “”rolling “ outward which seems to keep my hip properly allined . The result is no pinching in my hip. The toe box is wide and the straps does not aggravate my bunion. The strap across the toe box and back heel are adjustable as well. UPDATE-took these it Italy and I wore these everyday. Thousands of steps per day. Most comfortable sandals ever . No bunion discomfort and it kept my hip allined .

I will start by saying, I wish I hadn't worn these because now I can't return them. They are comfortable, the straps do not rub, and I was happy to have a sandal with high enough arch support for my high arches. However, they have "engraved" a design into the foot bead that you stand on, and it pinches the bottom of my toes and gives me blisters. So now I have a pair of shoes that are otherwise comfortable and I can't wear them. What was Vionic thinking?

Fantastic for overpronation really helps hold your arches up….. I actually bought a backup pair… they’re not cheap either but my feet feel extremely supported in this sandal……. I highly recommend these for anybody with flat feet and overpronation they are true to size!!! I’m a size eight in women and I bought a size 8 in these ….they fit perfectly

Very happy with overall service and the quality of these sandals. I have purchased Vionic shoes before and they do not disappoint. Worth the investment. I got these in silver. Aesthetically lovely on, very trendy. Looks great with different outfits - summer dress/trousers/shorts. True to fit and extremely comfortable - no need to break into these sandals when walking in them for the first time. They feel cushiony like slippers. and the leather straps are very soft. I would definitely purchase these again!

Walked in these all over Europe. Excellent shoes!
