Best for a reason...
These poles rock! I was hesitant due to the price, but after looking for materials cost 7000-series aluminum is at least double the cost of 6000-series, so gave them a shot. Glad I did. Popup thunderstorm hit us out of nowhere on the beach with 25+mph gusts, popped a plastic tarp tie-down and sent the tarp flapping - not a hint of a bend in these awesome poles. If you're on the fence due to the cost, just do it - heck of a lot cheaper than a new set of poles after every trip and you get to keep using your tarp for the rest of your valuable vacation time. These are the only widely available 7000-series aircraft aluminum poles on the market, by the way.
