Love love love
I absolutely love this gin, it's my favourite so far! Having been to the distillery in edinburgh it's great to be able to buy in online! It's especially great as a slice of orange peel as the garnish - really brings out the citrus notes within the gin!

Mixed feelings
After hearing great things about this gin I thought I would give it a go. The bottle has a nice contemporary design and is corked (I'm a big fan of corked gin bottles). On the nose there's obvious juniper, with some heather notes and very faint citrus. Mixed with tonic the heather flavour really comes through, and although not unpleasant, the other botanicals don't make themselves known particularly well. I was, and still am, at a loss about what to garnish it with, as traditional lime tends to obliterate everything in this gin. Other garnishes (grapefruit, elderflower, various herbs, pomegranate) likewise failed to add anything to the taste. In all honesty I think this is probably best drunk with no garnish at all, or maybe try and get your hands on some juniper berries. Overall I feel that this gin doesn't have the experience nor strength of character to stand up to the traditional London dry's, yet neither does it have the contemporary and innovative flare that is increasingly being found in some of the newer gins. Not unpleasant, but not worth raving about.
