I love this case! I've tried 5 other cases for the HD8 (2018) and this one fit my needs exactly. I got the royal blue version and there are definitely huge speaker holes just like every other HD8 case I've tried.The flap with tab is a little interesting. I love it but if you just fold the flap back while reading it does stick out oddly. Not an issue though as I fold the first half back, then the second half back upon itself with the tab tucked in. This way my finger are always on the outer portion of the case, there's some thickness to comfortably hold on to, and the flap is tucked away.Very light. Very comfortable. Looks like it still provides a decent layer of protection. I'm using a separate, matte screen protector and have to say this solution for reading has me using the HD8 more than my paper white now.

I bought this for my new Kindle 8 because it looked sturdy and it is. But the little lock tabs in the back are hard to see and not nearly long enough to keep the case in Landscape mode while I read in bed. Plus trying to decipher the pictures of how to set it up are really difficult. I can see using pictures for international sales but written directions added would be helpful.The case itsef is well made and the covers stays latched plus the Royal Blue colour are very nice. I would’ve give 5 stars if I could keep the stand part from slipping.

When closed the cover is great, and looks wonderful. However trying to stand the device to watch it, or leave it standing in a room to use Alexa it just seems to keep falling over. I was debating between this one and another device, and this one does not quite make the grade. I would send it back, but I tossed out the package it came in.

So I purchased this case for my son who was getting a new tablet for his birthday. His grandma (who lives a state away purchased the tablet) so we didn't get the tablet until now. I bought this cover a month ago..so when we brought the tablet home I pulled out this case, thinking I was ahead of the game! But as we opened the cover it peeled off the case...one of the main reasons I purchased this case was it had a cover that had a magnetic closure. Back to the drawing board for this mom...I recommend buying this and using it within the return window..cause I'm now stuck with a defective product...and I'm out the money. :(

Traded in my old fire tab for a new 8 one and this was perfect. I wanted it to cover the screen so it be thrown into a backpack and not get damaged. It fits snug and all the buttons and camera remain functional.

My only dislike is the location of the speaker holes. When you close the cover, the speakers are muffled. No holes! I use my tablet for “White Noise” when I sleep, but I don’t want the extra light. Other than that, it’s a good case.

The magnetic tab looked to functional in the pictures but in practice it is not as practical. Wrap around latch makes it more inconvenient to open and close. Would have probably been better without it. Other than that it's not bad looks like it wound endure a small drop.

I bought this as a gift for a person with cerebral palsy. She got a new Kindle and she likes this cover. It is easy for her to use and handle. It is not slick and the corners are a great protection for her Kindle.
