Ghost World

Ghost world is one of my favourite movie, so this book is like a collectible for me

This is a great book. As far as graphic novels go, I haven't read many better. A beautiful coming-of-age story which is extremely funny and melancholic at the same time. Excellent from Amazon too that these are priced well and shipped quickly.

Way better than the movie

Daniel clowes can just transport you to the book's world easily with his writing and his characters can be so relatable. If you have seen many coming of age Hollywood movies you can relate to this book so much. The humor in this book is dark and funny in a unique way. The author's way of narration transcends very well with the artwork. If you have read diary of a teenage girl this is kinda very similar to it. Just go ahead and buy this you want a break from the usual superhero comic books and graphic novels. Kinda felt that the book is very short but other than that it's just a very pleasant read.

Nice story about 2 teen age girls.

Ghost world goes as back as 20 years, but you don't feel that while reading this piece for sure. Why you should consider buying this book? Because it's a simple story told beautifully, how our mundane life and our actions add up to our personalities and our decisions. Ghost stories takes you from one summer of two great friends, Enid and Rebecca, to them growing up and finding their own worlds different from each others. It's something school friends and college friends can relate to very easily. It's a light afternoon read, you can go for the kindle version as well. But if you are looking to have a collection of graphic novels, this one is cheap deal and one for the ages. Who wouldn't like this book: As profound as it's following is, ghost stories might not be everyone's cup of tea. If you are expecting things to happen on a faster pace or some plot twists to occur in the protagonists life, this book doesn't really give you that rush. It's really just slices of Enid and Rebecca's life and it has its own way of charming the readers. PS: If you are new to graphic novels, Ghost stories can be a good contemporary read.
