Smaller than I thought it would be but has a lot of chairs and info !

All the chairs, it would be too much for an average person, but for us chairaholics? Perfect. I leave this on my coffee table to let people know I’m cooler and more sophisticated than them.

What can you say about a book that shows a thousand chairs? Practically every meaningful chair design from any famous designer is in this, but as a brief introduction only. I think the authors have done a really good job of cramming a lot of images and brief information into a book that still can be lifted with one hand. You could probably get the same information if you were willing to invest hours in an internet search, but it was well worth the price I paid to get a new copy from a second-hand seller for about 1.6 cents per chair. It is a beautiful and well-made edition.

Magnifique livre ! Les photos sont superbes et la sélection de chaises est vraiment impressionnante, on voyage à travers toutes les époques et les styles. C’est à la fois une source d’inspiration et un bel objet à avoir dans sa bibliothèque. La qualité d’édition est top, fidèle à ce que fait Taschen. Je recommande vivement pour tous les passionnés de design ou simplement ceux qui aiment les beaux livres.
