Worth the money with a remote control that attaches to the light so it doesn't get lost. The light provides various degrees of lighting. I LOVE this light and only wish I had found it sooner before I wasted money on those other sewing lights that are so popular that don't deliver. Stella does!

Remote stopped working after 4 months. Replaced batteries and still does not work. Too expensive for this quality.

I already owned a similar light that is sold under Tim Holtz, which was also produced by Stella Lighting. I loved that light, and when I learned that Stella produced a similar product in its lineup but at a lesser price, I decided to try it. However, it did not work when it arrived, the remote that attached to the light did not attach as tight as I would have liked, and the light itself was much lighter in weight. In essence, it was less expensive because it was of a lesser quality. Thus, I returned it.

This is the second Stella I have purchased. I have a desk model that I have been very happy with. I bought the Edge model specifically to use on my System 4 Needwork stand (for needlepoint for those not aware of what that is). I am happy with it. It offers more levels of light than my desk model which is a nice feature. My only disappointment is the way it mounts on my stand. I thought that the lamp would have an exposed post that would fit inside the light mount on my stand that would offer stability. It does not have an exposed post. In spite of that it does mount securely and I'm happy I bought it.

Stella lamps are great. The Edge model has a number of excellent lighting types and levels. It clamps securely and can accommodate a number of thicknesses. The reason for the less than stellar review is due to the functioning of the remote. At one time I actually had two of these in my house...one I ordered from Amazon and one from customer service after I called about the intermittent functioning of the remote. You must use the remote as the is no other way to adjust the light. After fiddling around with it I believe the problem with the intermittent functioning of the remote.....some times it would work, sometimes it didn't.....is the plastic mount that holds the circular battery. And when I store it magnetically on the.light, it's worse. If I fiddle with the battery in the housing, I can get it to work. I tried several new batteries and the mlm light functions property so it has to be the remote. Stella customer service is outstanding. No problems there at all. But an expensive light should have a flawless remote. And this model did not generate any heat when using it. It was great lighting esp for doing needlepoint and crafts. But the price was the thing...and the remote should work extra well. I'm sad.

I only leave reviews if I’ve had enough. There is no on off switch on this lamp. So when the battery dies, which seems to be every other turn on/off, the lamp is useless. I have no idea where the remote is supposed to be pointed. the light is great when it’s on. Pointless when it won’t turn on. Don’t buy this.

Love this light! Worth the money!

The lamp worked for about 10 minutes. The battery fell out of the remote and I could not turn the lamp again. Tried to call the manufacturer to order a new remote but all I get is a recorded message in how they are helping other customers. Very disappointed want the light to work. Need the light to work. HELP.
