I wanted something small, minimal in design/aesthetic, sturdy and affordable. The base of this lock is heavy and feels like great quality. I bought this lock to use at the ice rink. I only use it to lock up my items for an hour or two. My only critique is the latch itself doesn’t go that deep into the base of the lock. So, if you’re looking for something more secure, that may be left unsupervised for longer periods of time than there might be better options out there for you. BUT if you’re looking for a daily lock to use for work or sports lockers this is a great option to consider.

This is a good lock to use in humid, salty air climates. The shank is thinner than a master lock. My yard shed for some inane reason has a hole that most padlocks will not fit through so this is perfect. I would prefer a pure stainless lock, but I haven't found one with a hasp that is narrow enough. One thing I do not like though, although it could be a plus when it reaches the end of its life and is rusting out, is that when it is unlocked, the hasp doesn't really pop up much at all, which makes it difficult to tell when it is actually unlocked. We go through one every 18 months on a beachfront shed. When the lock gets corroded and difficult to unlock from the salt, this makes it difficult to determine whether the numbers aren't spinning properly, the numbers aren't lined up allowing the hasp to 'pop up' in the unlocked position, if the hasp has corroded and isn't popping up, if it's too corroded to swivel, or what the problem is. We've learned the hard way that it's better to replace the lock before it gets too close to the end of its life. It's better to throw the lock away with 3 months left on its life, than to sweat over whether it will actually unlock or not.

Could I give it a negative - minus star rating? The lNo, I can not because the lowest rating available is a 1 star. OMG. OMG.OMG. Horror! There I was, in the locker room, ready to open my lock and use it to lock my gym locker and the lock would not open. I followed the instructions, I watched youtube video's, I reread the instructions nevertheless, after about 3 months, the locker was unusable, inoperable. It looks and feel like a wonderful, heavy-duty lock but it's inside that counts and inside this heavy duty gorgeous lock, is something that is NOT RELIABLE. Scary. I had to trust that all of my belongings would be safe at the gym. So, I just ordered a new lock that not only has number settings but also a key as a backup.

The last one worked well for 5 years outside (unprotected year round), and then it started to jam up. I like not having a key and being able to pick my own combination. It's sturdy and well made, and I find it opens easily as long as you carefully line the numbers up (it doesn't tolerate sloppiness).

I use these at the gym. Can set my own combination and these have lasted years. They fit my gym lockers perfectly and I can keep one in each bag so I always have one. setting combo is easy and once set no issue. I’m sure they aren’t hard to break open for basic security. But for relatively safe areas just for locking stuff these are great and do the job.

This lock feel sturdy and very polished, the number knob move smoothly. This is better than the master lock I bought but this is bigger and heavier. Good for gym locker.

These locks are a good size, too easy to use with fingers so far. Not sure how it will hold up. So far I am happy. If you want a good lock, yes I recommend to buy this lock.

Je dépense des milliers de dollars par mois sur Amazon et je ne laisse presque jamais d’avis. Cette fois, c’est nécessaire. Cadenas acheté il y a 7 jours, combinaison configurée et utilisée sans problème pendant une semaine. Aujourd’hui, le code n’ouvrait plus alors que le cadenas est resté dans mon sac. Pas de chute, pas d’eau, pas de choc. J’ai dû le couper avec de grosses pinces pour récupérer mes effets, situation très embarrassante. Le vendeur n’a pas été joignable et, pour ce type d’article, Amazon n’a pas proposé de solution simple. Pour moi, c’est un défaut de conception ou de fiabilité. Je déconseille ce modèle. Optez plutôt pour un cadenas à clé ou une combinaison fixe.
