This light is awesome in my 8x10 shed. It lights up the whole shed on medium brightness enough to where I haven't had to use it on High yet. But I tested the high mode and it's bright for a such a small size light. High brightness mode can only be turned on using the Remote. The light has a durable metal shade around it. I recommend letting it fully charge in the sun before use. The battery lasts a long time. I stay in and out my shed for 4-5 hours sometimes and the light is still going strong. I love the power box it's kinda like a light switch and it shows the battery charge as well. The battery is in the power box and after charging the solar panel can be unplugged and the light will still work. It functions great and puts out a lot of good light for it's size. I would recommend this to anyone needing a shed light but not wanting to run electricity for a light, like me. It took me a few days to decide on getting this light but now I'm glad I did and I would buy it again!

This is a really nice solar light. Very bright, with adjustable brightness from the remote. I really like that the remote comes with a case that you can mount, so I'm less likely to lose it, and easily turn the light on when needed. It has motion sensor as well if you want that. The solar panel has a mounting bracket, and the light has a hook, so everything was perfect for my needs.

I bought this to go in a standalone metal shed I built that does not have power to it. I quickly discovered I needed some type of lighting at night and chose this after looking at other similar products. This was fairly straightforward to use and install, and sofar has worked exactly as I wanted it to. In order to see what type of battery it used, I did disassemble it, and inside the main part there is what looks like a single giant battery, larger than a D type battery, that is soldered to the circuit board. One thing I learned that was not in the instructions is that in order for it to charge, you need to leave it on all the time, which is counterintuitive since the battery fullness green LEDs are lit always when it's on. I keep mine in the motion sensor mode, and it will only come on once it's dark enough outside, and it works perfectly. You will see the green LEDs flashing as it charges, so when they're solid, it's full. The instructions should be a bit more clear on this, but outside of that, it's a great product.

I have this light in my chicken coop and I have to be honest, it’s taken quite a beating. Clearly I underestimated my chickens when I installed it, because they’ve knocked this light down a number of times and it still illuminates great. It’s definitely durable! The little plastic cover that goes over the light has long fallen off but it has a nice brightness that isn’t too harsh on the eyes. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the light often has a low glow coming from it, even when it’s set to be off. I don’t know if it’s because the solar panel has a lot of sun exposure and I don’t use the light often, if it’s because of taking a couple falls, or something else . Regardless, this light is great. For what I use it for, I’d buy it again if I had to.

Motion sensor doesn’t work

I am pleasantly surprised at the amount of light this product produces. I used this in our hunting cabin and it not only charges quickly it provides more than enough light. The only complaint I have is that you have to point the remote directly at the light to operate it. I haven’t contacted the remote holder placed on the door less than 5 feet from the light yet I have to take it out of the holder and point it directly at the light to get it to work. Other than that it’s awesome. I definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a good light where they don’t have access to power.

I purchased the APILAB Solar Shed Light Indoor/Outdoor, 2 Pack, and unfortunately, one of the lights arrived severely cracked. This is not a small or cosmetic issue, the crack runs through the middle of the light housing, making it unusable. I’ve uploaded photos clearly showing the damage. The item did not appear to be packaged with adequate protection. There was little to no padding to prevent impact during shipping, which likely caused the damage. This was present right out of the box and was not caused by installation or use. I contacted Amazon customer support, and they provided a link to message the seller. The seller responded promptly and professionally, asking for my name, address, and photos, which I provided. I want to clarify that I never requested a refund as my first option and I specifically asked if they could replace the damaged light because I want to use the lights in my duck coop. A refund was only mentioned as a backup option in case a replacement was not possible. So far, it seems the seller is willing to handle a replacement, but the process has not yet been completed, so I won’t know the final outcome until the replacement arrives and is installed. I appreciate the seller’s responsiveness and willingness to work with me on this. The lights themselves are very attractive and well-designed, and I am hopeful the replacement will arrive soon so I can set them up. I will update this review once the replacement arrives. For now, buyers should note that packaging and quality control may be a problem, but the product design and appearance are excellent.

These lights are well worth the money. I installed them in about 45 mins by myself in a 50Lx16W miniature horse barn. They are plenty bright in the wee hours of the mornings before I head off to work and now after dark when I get home from work to feed. The remote control is a great add, I can turn the lights on before I even get to the barn which is great. I highly recommend this product.

Seems to work well enough. I have no complaints other than the solar panel has been taking quite awhile to charge the pack. To be fair it is late November in Canada, so cold weather and grey skies.

1st. The light does work and will serve as a backup. The diffuser for the led, however, was loose in the box on arrival and I had to silicone it back onto the light shade as it would not stay on because the caulking in the lightshade was rock hard. 2nd the cable to the solar panel is a great length for placement outside my shed. The cable to the light, however is too short. I wanted it closer to the middle of my shed. You can see from the picture it's close to the door. 3rd, the motion sensor seems to be hit/miss. I wouldn't leave it in that mode anyway as I believe it will drain the battery. I'm still waiting for the battery to be charged to full strength. I'm surprised it's taking as long as it is as I've not used the light for over a week now.
