Mikasa VSG Glow in the Dark Volleyball

I've owned this ball for 6 years and we love how it holds air . The glow of my ball lasts for about 4 minutes and even then the lighting from it is way too dim to play volleyball at night with it. It works fine for daytime only

A must buy, it’s not too hard since it’s a beach ball so it’s good for younger kids to play with. It actually glows in the dark which is cool. Arrived great, the inflation was good, totally worth the prize.

First, this item only took a week to reach Afghanistan where i am working. The ball glows GREAT in pitch darkness. (the reason i bought it)However, it doesn't help prolong the games into the night LOL. (i wondered and had to get it). This ball has been through a lot. Because we are stationed in the mountains with dry HOT HEAT, rocks, barbed wire and did i say really dry heat and barbed wire? This ball has hit this barbed wire more than once and keeps on ticking. I have at least 4 cuts on this thing and it still holds air, i haven't added any aire in 2 weeks. Well worth the money for toughness, but not for the glow in the dark effects

Such a fun color and was surprised at how much it glowed in the dark. It is durable and with hold up for many night games for our family.

I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas. He just informed me, via his thank you note, that after about 15 minutes of use, the ball got a puncture. How? Maybe a rock, a plant or something the ball landed on in his backyard. I had several companies to choose for glow in the dark volleyballs ; however, I selected Mikasa because I have purchased other balls with satisfaction from this manufacturer. I realize this is months after Christmas, but I've not gotten any response from my contact with Mikasa. I even asked for their recommendation for how the ball could possibly be repaired. Nothing . . . I guess the quality is not what it used to be. A sad customer.

I was hoping for something bright enough to keep playing as the days get shorter. I got this, and a ChargeBall to try out. I was ultimately disappointed by both. The Mikasa one isn't bright enough to use, or at least doesn't stay bright enough to use for more than a couple seconds. I had both portable UV and white lights to charge things with, they just didn't last. If I were rating it for brightness alone, it probably would have been 1 star. But it's still priced in line with the cheaper Mikasa balls and still feels good to play with. Just don't expect magic, even if you've got a black light to rapidly charge it with. Hoping for better luck with LED powered balls, but the reviews on most of those have seemed pretty bad too.

Good volleyball and the glow actually works and is very cool. Unfortunately the glow does not persist long, so it is recommended to have a UV flashlight at hand and recharge every game or so.

Die Oberschicht des Balls bekommt sehr schnell Brüche und platzt auf. Man kann mit dem Ball weiterhin spielen, aber er sieht sehr alt und verhauen aus.
