Fantastic ice cream maker
Hey there, I bought this ice cream maker in November 2025 and shortly there after moved to a new house. We recently set it up and have been fantastically amazed at the quality of ice cream were getting. Its delicious. The recipes are awesome and easy to make. We've even made two batches back to back and had great success in both batches. Nothing negative to say about this machine. Once the ice cream is made and frozen, you must wait awhile to let it thaw before scooping. We love, love, love it.

Fast, Easy, and Surprisingly Quiet Ice Cream Maker
’ve been using the Gasbye ice cream maker with the upgraded compressor, and it has been fantastic from the very first batch. The biggest selling point for me was the fact that you don’t need to pre-freeze anything, and it delivers on that completely. I’ve owned a few ice cream makers over the years—including the types where you have to freeze the bowl for a full day—and this one is in a different league. You plug it in, pour in your mix, and you’re making ice cream right away. No planning ahead, no shuffling freezer space around. The freezing speed really stands out. The “40% faster” claim actually holds up, and it chills the mixture quicker than any older unit I’ve owned. I can make a batch, scoop it out, and immediately start the next one without any cooldown period. For a 2.1-quart capacity machine, that kind of turnaround is a big win when you’re making ice cream for multiple people. Another thing I appreciate is that it’s not too loud. Compressor units usually make a bit of noise, but this one is much quieter than I expected. It’s more of a steady hum than anything disruptive, so you can run it in the kitchen while doing other things without feeling like it’s taking over the room. That’s a huge plus compared to the older, rattlier machines I’ve used in the past. The LED display and controls are simple to use, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. You pick your mode, set your time, and let the machine take over. I’ve tried both ice cream and yogurt settings, and everything has turned out consistently smooth. The stainless steel body looks clean on the counter and is easy to wipe down after use. What impressed me most is the texture. The machine produces consistently creamy batches without icy crystals, whether I’m making fruit mixes, chocolate, or something thicker like peanut butter. Even after it finishes, the cooling mode keeps everything from melting while you get your bowls or toppings ready. Overall, it’s an easy five stars. Fast freezing, no pre-freezing required, great texture, simple controls, and it’s surprisingly quiet for a compressor model. If you want high-quality ice cream without any of the hassle, this machine is absolutely worth it.

Only a twenty minute wait for our sorbet
First, you do not need to pre freeze anything. When we are in the mood for a cold sweet treat, we want it now - not tomorrow. It’s easy to use and works quickly. To test it, I blended two cans of unsweetened peaches with a teaspoon of lemon juice and poured it into the bowl. Turned the machine on and 20 minutes later we had homemade sorbet. If you make another batch right behind the first, it’s important to wash and dry the ice cream bowl completely, otherwise the water on the bowl will freeze first and your new creation won't. This makes everything: soft serve ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, margaritas AND actual yogurt. The frozen yogurt we made was delicious too. I’m looking forward to using this during the holidays. Awesome purchase and worth the money for homemade frozen desserts.

The Best Ice Cream!
WHAT A GREAT PURCHASE!! Worth every dollar. Easy and fun, the ice cream is smooth, creamy, and delicious. Prepared two batches not easily found in the grocery store…vanilla chocolate chip and banana chocolate chip. Churned up in less than 30 minutes. Indulge immediately as soft serve or give it at least 4 hours in the freezer as hard serve.

Gasbye does an amazing job and freezes quickly.
We are totally pleased with this ice cream freezer. It freezes as firm as my old style electric ice and salt freezer would do in approximately 35 minutes and firmer than the hand crank in 45 minutes. It is also much quieter than I expected it might. Our only disappointment with this purchase was the banana ice cream recipe in the book that came with the freezer. It was so bad that we threw it out but my old recipes came out great. The build quality seems very good. It is a bit heavy and feels very solid. We are so pleased that we went with this Gasbye Ice Cream Freezer after much deliberation. We appreciate the two year warranty that is provided with registration and look forward to homemade ice cream for years to come. It will be nice knowing exactly what is in the ice cream that we eat.
