Perfect. I was worried that the strings wouldn't be long enough because I have a 24 feet 6 string bass but I had to clip them down because the strings were huge. Plus, I got 'players circle' points with D'Addario and I've ordered a pack of picks for my guitar for free!

AGGIORNAMENTO: me culpa, il problema era del basso e non delle corde, o meglio del sistema di ponte che ha: Ibanez SR1206 con ponte Monorail IV: facevo un errore madornale nel settare l'intonazione, che permette di essere serrata dopo le regolazioni. in sostanza: allentavo la selletta, allentavo la corda, regolavo l'intonazione, SERRAVO la selletta e riaccordavo. l'errore era serrare prima di accordare, perchè la corda, essendo ancorata direttamente alla parte mobile della selletta, doveva essere in tensione per muoverla del tutto, e quindi serrandola prima non si intonava bene. capito questo, tutto intonato con tutte le corde. torno ad essere aficionado delle D'Addario nickel! __________________ sono un fedele cliente di D'Addario da tempo, le uso su vari bassi, e volevo usare le nickel 32-135 sul nuovo 6 corde che ho preso. purtroppo tre corde su sei erano difettose, non si intonavano in nessun modo (Si basso, Mi e Re), rimanendo sempre calanti, addirittura con oltre 20 centesimi di tono su tutta la corda, impossibili da usare. La, Sol e Do perfette. ho preso una muta di D'addario Prosteel 32-130, e si è intonata tutta senza problemi, anche sul Re (della medesima scalatura). non ho fatto alcun reso perchè ovviamente non è un difetto "visibile", quindi sono stati 30€ buttati. impossibile recuperare le corde per altri bassi, in quanto sono difettose a corde alterne... peccato.

Recently, it was that bi-yearly event for me as a bassist: the time to change strings. I usually get the flex steels, for my four string, but I decided to get the normal nickel wounds for my six string (didn't feel like doing any truss rod adjustment or redoing the intonation). I must say: the feel of these strings, while playing, is nice. They're very smooth and good for a finger style player, like me. They also sound great, although not as bright as the flex steels. I'd definitely recommend these to any bassist who wants the smooth tone of nickel wounds strings.

D'Addario EXL165-6 6-String Nickel Wound Bass - Great strings and as always with D'Addario, consistent high quality! I have gone through all brands imaginable and always end up back with these, so I am sticking with them from now on.
