Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator, Radical Red Small

I bought the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator for my high school son, and it has already proven to be one of the most useful school purchases we have made. The calculator feels modern compared to the older TI models many of us remember. The color backlit screen is bright, sharp, and much easier to read, especially when working with multiple graphs or more advanced equations. The thinner and lighter design also makes it easier for students to carry around every day without feeling bulky in a backpack. What impressed me most is how widely accepted and expected this calculator is in high school math courses. Teachers are familiar with it, classroom instructions often reference it directly, and there are countless tutorials online if students need help learning specific functions. That makes the learning curve much less intimidating. My son has been using it for higher-level math coursework, and the graphing capabilities are excellent. The menus are organized well, the buttons feel responsive, and the overall performance is fast and reliable. The rechargeable battery has also lasted surprisingly long between charges. One small downside is that it still uses a Mini-USB charging cable instead of USB-C, which feels outdated today. Still, that is a minor issue compared to how well the calculator performs overall. While the price is definitely not cheap, this feels like a long-term educational investment rather than a short-term school supply. It is the kind of calculator that can realistically last through high school and even into college-level STEM classes.

For now, I think it works okay. I also charged it, and it charged properly. Hopefully, it won’t break or have any problems anytime soon.

I absolutely love the TI-84 Plus CE in Radical Red! The color makes it stand out from the standard black or gray calculators, and it has a sleek, lightweight design that’s easy to carry in my bag. The bright color display makes graphs, functions, and data tables much easier to read and understand compared to older models. The battery life is excellent, and the rechargeable feature is a huge plus. It’s perfect for high school and college-level math, especially algebra, calculus, and statistics. Reliable, fast, and stylish—this calculator is worth every penny.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought the TI-84 Plus CE in Radical Red for my high schooler, and it’s been a fantastic investment. It’s sleek, lightweight, and the color really stands out—definitely not your average dull calculator! The color screen is a big step up from older models, making graphs, equations, and data tables much easier to read. Color display – helps visualize graphs and functions better. Rechargeable battery – lasts a long time on a single charge. Approved for exams (SAT, AP, ACT) – works for standardized testing. Highly recommend for high school and college students. And let’s be honest, the Radical Red color makes math a little more fun.

Monopoly much? It's a calculator, it does calculate things, sturdy, durable. The materials used to build it are definitely changing, for the better or worse, only time will tell. Price stays the same though, plus the mandatory inflationary bump of course. I wish there was an educational standard and we can have some competition to buy. Until then, pay up lol

Does a great Calculator for algebra courses and higher the side of this is good not too big like other calculators is slightly larger than the size of like a cell phone value for the money I think it’s around $40 cheaper than other models and is more slimmer than it competitors, the battery life on this is really good and has the same function as any other calculator in this class would have portability you can fit in your pocket easily.

I’m not a math person at all, but my son needed this calculator for Pre-Cal, he got an A, so I’m happy! We ordered the red one after he lost his black TI-84, and he actually likes this one better. It’s easy to find in his backpack, works perfectly, and the color screen is really clear. Worth every penny would buy again!

This calculator is a lifesaver for math and science classes. It’s fast, reliable, and the color screen makes graphs so much easier to read. The Radical Red color is bold and fun , definitely stands out! Battery life is excellent too. Totally worth it for students!
