This is an OK German-style bread. It is on the lighter side and can be used for savory and sweet sandwiches. I didn’t care that it contained preservatives to extend its shelf life. It changed the taste for me. Most German breads are freshly baked without preservatives.

This is one of my favorite breads, period. I was thrilled to find it available on line as no one in my area carries it. I grew up with this bread in Germany. The taste of this bread takes me right back there.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Because you don"t have Pepperidge Farms Quality:I will never order anything other than Pepperidge Farms. That product is terrible.

I toasted it. It was sliced too thin in my opinion. It was very firm as if it was not fresh.

The bread is very good, and a very good price
