Alpha-Gel Jetstream 0.7 mm Ball Point Pen, Silver Body, Black Ink (SXN1000071P26)

I have big hands and struggle to find pens with a wide enough grip to be comfortable for lots of writing. This pen is fantastic and one of the most comfortable I've ever used.The grip is quite... squidgy... and at first I thought maybe too soft. Then I took this pen to a conference where I wrote many, many pages of notes and had no aches in my fingers or wrist at the end of the day, which I'd usually get after doing a lot of fast handwriting.I'd taken a couple of other pens along as backups so I could change around if my hand started getting sore part way through the day, but didn't touch them as the Alpha-Gel Grip was so comfortable.The body of the pen and the clip is metal and feels sturdy, I've no worries about bashing it around in my bags or pockets.The ink is the usual Jetstream quality - smooth, good flow, doesn't smear if you move your hand across it (I'm right handed, so if you're a left handed writer you might want to check out exactly how quickly Jetstream ink dries before buying, but as far as I can tell this would be fine for left handers.) It takes their SXR-7 refills so it's cheap to put new ink in when it runs out. I found the tip wore in slightly in the first couple of pages of use, so if you don't like it immediately, give it a try for a little while and I found it improved and then stabilised at a nice, even, quite thin line that never skipped a beat.I've tried the Jetstream SXN-150-07 which takes the same refill, and they're good, but their grip section is hard rubber and not as wide as the grip on this. I've found the Alpha-Gel Grip so much better I'll probably be taking the refills from the SXN-150-07s and using them in the AG Grip instead.Highly recommended if you have big hands and usually get cramp or pain when you write a lot.

I've had this pen for many months now, and I definitely recommend it. The Jetstream ink writes so smoothly compared to other ballpoint pens I've used, and the Alpha Gel grip is very comfortable to use for long periods of time. When you try holding the pen, you'll regret not having used it sooner.The pen is also made from metal, which makes it feel more premium to use, and more durable, so you actually want to use it more, compared to some cheap disposable pen. The Jetstream ink also dries really quickly so that's not an issue at all for those who are left-handed. I've found that the pen body also takes the popular Energel refills as well, if you want the even smoother writing experience of a gel pen.The only problem though, for me, is that the grip gets dusty, but it can easily be cleaned with some tape. That isn't too much of a problem for me though, when using it.

Fantastic comfortable pen. Lovely super soft gel grip and solid metal body. Well designed and manufactured. Can also use different refills, for example, Pentel Energel. Makes writing much more comfortable for longer periods of time without discomfort.

Ergonomically this pen is amazing. I have never owned a pen so comfortable to use. I'd recommend this to any right handed person. However, I'm a lefty so I'm stuck with a common issue in that the nib and ink flow can be a bit of a pain. Either going too quick and scraping along or going too slow and leaving enough ink to paint my hand and the page under it. if I could get a refill from a uni-ball SXN-210 to fit in it it would be the perfect pen for me.I'd still recommend it to everyone I know.Edit (22/11/19): I switched in a uni-ball sxn-210 refill and it works so much better for left handed writing. The grip is extremely comfortable to use for long stints.

Super smooth and writes on paper like butter, this pen writes fantastically! The super soft grip really helps with hand fatigue/ for me personally who has problems with hands. The only problem is that the silicone grip collects ALL kind of bits of hair, fluff and bits so I recommend putting it in a non fluffy fabric pencil case like plastic.

Lovely pen. But the ink stopped working in 3 days. Contacted the seller, I was offered anything.

This is an amazing pen - it practically checks off every box you'd want for an ideal pen for school. I personally have a writers callous and have constant aches in my pen with most pens which means that I need a very soft grip pen. This pen has the SOFTEST and SQUISHIEST grip I have ever used in a pen whilst also being full-metal giving it a nice hefty weight that's just perfect. The ink is great and is even better as it's compatible with Pentel Energel style refills (I've tried both Pentel Energel and Zebra Sarasa, they both fit!). Overall, I really recommend this pen to someone who's looking for a good, comfortable metal pen that doesn't break the bank but has the Japanese characteristics that separates it from other average pens.

Excellent grippability & nice balance so great ergonomics for prolonged periods òf writing such as essays or exams. Uses same refill as other Jetstream RT rollerballs : prefer 1mm point for even smoother writing ( Alpha gel comes with 0.7mm)Much better quality than other cheap throwaway rollerballs.

Ich habe mir den Uni Alpha-Gel Jetstream (0,7 mm) für meine täglichen Notizen zugelegt. Für alle, die viel mit der Hand schreiben müssen oder beim Schreiben schnell verkrampfen, ist dieser Stift ein absolutes Highlight.Hier sind meine Erfahrungen nach einem intensiven Schreibtest (40 Seiten in meinem Notizheft):🛑 1. DIE GENIALE ERGONOMIE (DAS ALPHA-GEL):Aufgrund einer vergangenen Sehnenscheidenentzündung ermüdet meine Hand bei normalen „Werbegeschenke-Kugelschreibern" sehr schnell und fängt an zu schmerzen. Das Alpha-Gel-Polster dieses Stifts ist hier extrem entlastend. Das Gel ist wunderbar weich, sodass der Mittelfinger beim Halten angenehm einsinkt. Man muss den Stift nicht mehr fest umklammern, wodurch das Handgelenk geschont und das Verkrampfen der Finger effektiv verhindert wird. Zudem liegt der Stift mit seinen 21 Gramm sehr wertig und ausbalanciert in der Hand.✒️ 2. DAS SCHREIBGEFÜHL UND DER TINTENFLUSS:Die Jetstream-Tinte wird oft als "Hybrid" (zwischen Kugelschreiber und Gel) beschrieben. Die 0,7-mm-Mine gleitet unglaublich leicht über das Papier. Man könnte theoretisch ganz ohne Druck schreiben, wobei das Schriftbild dann etwas abgehackt wirkt. Ich übe beim Schreiben nur noch minimalen Druck aus, damit die Buchstaben eine schöne Kontur bekommen. Im Vergleich zu Standard-Kugelschreibern ist der Kraftaufwand verschwindend gering.💧 3. TROCKNUNGSZEIT UND VERSCHMIEREN:Bei einem so satten Tintenfluss ist das oft ein Problem, aber hier wurde ich absolut positiv überrascht. Wenn man normal oder schnell schreibt, trocknet die Tinte sofort und verschmiert überhaupt nicht (auf meinen 40 Seiten gab es kein Schmieren). Nur wenn man den Stift sehr langsam über das Papier führt (wodurch viel Tinte austritt) und sofort gezielt fest mit dem Finger darüberwischt, lässt sich ein leichtes Verschmieren provozieren. Im normalen Schreiballtag ist er jedoch wischfest.♻️ 4. NACHHALTIGKEIT & MINENWECHSEL:Da das Gehäuse sehr hochwertig ist, ist der Stift keine Wegwerfware. Die Mine lässt sich ganz einfach austauschen, indem man das Gehäuse in der Mitte aufschraubt. Die passenden Ersatzminen (Uni Jetstream SXR-7) kann man problemlos nachkaufen. So hat man sehr lange etwas von diesem Stift.🎯 FAZIT:Ein fantastischer, hochwertiger Kugelschreiber, mit dem man spürbar länger und entspannter schreiben kann als mit jedem Standard-Modell. Für alle Vielschreiber und besonders für Menschen mit empfindlichen Händen, Handgelenksproblemen oder der Neigung zum Verkrampfen ist dieser Stift jeden Cent wert. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

This pen was literally the most mid thing ever , it works fine noting special about it just like every other black ball point pen THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS pls don’t buy it - I can’t even return it sadly . The squishy feature isn’t that useful and mid too JUST MID PRODUCTS DONT BUY
