Great records! They really do look great in my collection!

Arrived in new condition. Playback was near flawless.

This might be for serious Beach Boys fans, but if you are, this is a fun 2-CD set. The first CD contains the "Surfin' Safari" and "Surfin' USA" albums plus three outtakes from those sessions. The second CD contains studio session work from that time. The music is joyous and sunny and the studio material is very interesting as to how certain songs evolved.

A recent reply to my initial review led me to revisit this cd. In comparison to the 1990 Capitol two-fer, listening carefully, the Hallmark reissue is way different and from an audiophile standpoint,different.. The Hallmark edition has a strange rechanneling and boost in the midrange which, upon first listening, may appear to have more impact, but I feel that a further remastering from the original multi-tracks would be warranted.

You need a Beach Boys Album if you are into surf rock lol
