Old Gold Gimp Braid Trim 5/8" X 10 Yards

I was looking for a "tea stain" color upholstery gimp, i.e. off white - not to yellowy, not to grayish, something in between to blend in with my safari upholstery fabric on my chair. I had to return two other colors before finally hitting on THIS one which was perfect! Easy to use and with glue gun in hand, I added the gimp to cover up all my staples and rough edge of the fabric. I am happy with the results! For those that gave this a less than 5-star review, I would suggest that you use the glue gun to dab a bit of hot glue to the back side of gimp end about 1/4" from edge and fold it back on itself and press down for a few seconds before you start using it and after each cut so that you avoid any unraveling of the braid. Worked wonderfully and I could butt two ends together after I went around the entire back of the chair and it was seamless! Great product!

Very pretty, will be using the cording for a reupholstered chair project. I'm not sure its a full 5/8ths but I will be using it. Good price.

This is not scratchy, is flexible, and shines very well. I love the look so much I am adding more into my gown than I planned initially so I needed to order a second one because I just love the look so much!

I was in the middle of a big decor project & needed 10 yds of gimp. Unable to Fung gimp at JoAnn’s, I found this on Amazon.The color is somewhere between Burgundy & Claret. The quality is not soft & pliable so is harder to work with.It is not the quality of a premium gimp & yet still costs as much.

The trim is pretty but has no backing so it unravels immediately and is a bit fragile. I remedied this by sewing across the braid, cutting the frayed ends then turning it under twice. I washed garment inside out inside a laundry bag on gentle cycle, and the trim came out fine. I did seem to turn a bit more beige in color after washing.
