This is an awesome tool worthy of its price and some respect. It does exactly what it says it does, that is, chew through wood like its not there. The two grades are good for removing and smoothing your work before hitting it with some sandpaper. A word to the wise though. The teeth are sharp and after a while, if you aren't careful, you'll notice that your fingertips start to fray. I wrapped some tape around the end to prevent it rasping away my fingerprints. But, that is a minor consideration faced with the fact that these are a beast of a tool. Love it, love it, love it.

I do appreciate a bit more expensive than a lot of rasps on the market but it really is worth the money.Well made strong and does what it says on the tin.Easy to flip sides from rough and smooth teeth.With firm pressure you can remove a lot of wood using the rough side and with a more delicate touch and using the smoother teeth you can get a fairly good finish that only needs a bit of sanding to make it acceptable.I would whole heartedly recommend this product.

This file is excellent vfm and a revelation to use. Every woodworker should have one - I wish I had found and bought this tool years ago!

Love it, the coarse side really removes wood and the smoother side leaves a finish that does not require too much work thereafter. One of my better buys

Great for removing a lot timber quickly. Does the job. Just wear gloves when using it because you'll get blisters without realising, it's that easy to use.

Seems to be excellent for the job

An absolute essential when shaping wood for hafting axe or hammers. Great bit of kit.

Simply brilliant. I used it first to shape a piece of wood for my vice, to match the shape of the vice itself. One side very aggressive, but not damaging, the other side leaving as clean a surface you you could realistically ask for. Very useful. Next, I'm going to try using to clean up large joints. It nicely weighty, and has a lovely solid, well made handle.

Must have item I never knew about until recently. Sharp, effective, easy to use, really great.

Really happy with how well this works, the only thing that would be great is if there was a curved version of this as well. I have used it to shape plywood, and it is holding up well.
