What's the consensus on the origin of this Pulltap? From Spain or not? The ad seems to be pretty clear that it's from Spain, but a couple of the reviews have me concerned. I'm sick of the China junk, and would like to have something from the original place of origin if possible.

This is definitely a fake, but it is a pretty good fake. The problems as I noticed them are that the hinges and rivets are very tight and don't move as smoothly as on an authentic Pulltap. The corkscrew is also a different size and shape. The logo and "patent" marks are also slightly different than on the real thing. This knockoff works reasonably well, but it is NOT an authentic Pulltap product, and anyone who has used the real thing before will immediately notice the difference.

Hi does this opener have a smooth or serrated edge on the foil cutter. I have one with a serrated edge and it tears up the foil. Thanks

It does have a serrated edge. Still works well though; I'm a bartender and have used these for years. They hold up better than most other wine keys over time, and they're easy to use.

They come packaged together. Hope that helps.

The actual pulltaps is made in Spain. I bought mine from one of the Amazon merchants who advertised that it was made in Spain. Many of the others are knock offs that are made in China.
