Great budget scope
This first focal plane optic delivers impressive performance well above its price point. The glass clarity is excellent throughout the magnification range, offering superior light transmission and edge-to-edge sharpness. The EBR-2C MRAD reticle is clean and precise, with markings that remain proportional at all magnifications - a crucial feature for ranging and holdovers. The turrets provide positive, tactile clicks with no mushiness, tracking consistently through adjustment ranges. Return to zero is reliable, and the zero-reset feature works as intended. The parallax adjustment operates smoothly, and the side focus placement is ergonomically sound for prone shooting. The magnification ring has appropriate resistance, maintaining position without being too stiff. Build quality is robust - the one-piece tube construction and argon purging ensure excellent weatherproofing and fog resistance. The anodizing is uniform and durable, while the diopter adjustment holds position well. Eye relief is generous and consistent across the magnification range, making for comfortable extended shooting sessions.

Vortex 4-16x44 review
For the price of this scope it is very well made. I put mine on a Savage .308 Model 12 and it seems quite accurate. All functions of the scope worked flawlessly. Glass is exceptionally clear for the price point. I was able to zero in, in about 6 shots after using a bore sight then moved my mil markers to zero with one screw for each turret (elevation and windage). Was pinging 200 yard plates every shot by the end of my hour on the range. Going out to the long distance range this weekend to see how far I can stretch its legs.

High Quality Scope that HOLDS A ZERO
Starting from the outside, scope is of sturdy build and turrets are well mounted and tight when twisted, while also being strong enough to not be twisted by bumping into things or moving around in a case. Using the magnification is very easy and it maintains clarity through 4-15x magnification. At 16x you will experience a dip in clarity but this is to be expected with any scope when maxed out, and even then it will still beat any stock or budget aftermarket scope you could find. The reticule is extremely crisp and defined, even so much so that at at 4x magnification it is hard to see the numbers on the hold over and wind correction marks. This is mainly becasue it is a first focal plane scope so the reticle zooms in when you zoom in, meaning it's outstanding and HD when you start to use higher magnifications rather than too large and in the way. Secondly is the fact that when I zeroed this scope and store it in a soft cover it retains it's zero to this day. I drove all the way from Texas to Wyoming, switching it between vehicles multiple times, mounting it on ATV's, riding back country trials up in the Big Horn National Forrest on the side of Cloud Peak, and it never bumped off its zero even after a solid week of that. If you are looking for a high quality scope that doesn't break the bank this is it.

Surprisingly good scope
2000 5-star reviews and I'm adding one. One of the best value long range scopes I've ever seen, and I've tried dozens of optics. I got the 4-16x version for my 22lr and was blown away. Clear glass edge to edge, works well in low light, and adjustable parallax 20 yards-600+ yards. Only downside, and only reason I'm returning it, is the lack of illumination. If that doesn't bother you, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better for around $350.

Great reticle
Nice scope for the price.

Excellent for this price point.
First the bad....well kind of bad. The eye relief is very critical, got to make sure you get your eye positioned JUST RIGHT! I had a Vortex Viper that the eye-box was very forgiving, but it cost three times more than this one. Under the turret, the gasket is very small and flimsy, you must be very careful that you do not damage it when you remove the turret to set it back to the "0" mark after you sighted it in. Now the good....it is a very usable reticle and had pretty danged clear for a $350 optic, it tracked well, and the clicks were pretty tactile and pretty auditable. Is it a top of the line OMG! kind of scope...no. But if you are on a budget like most of us, this is an excellent scope for basic needs. Just remember, you are probably not on the US Olympic Shooting Team, and chances are you're not a sniper......so you don't need all the stuff that a $1000 scope has, versus this usable glass.

Great value for the money
Had this on my AR15 for a couple range trips. It’s been great so far, I really like how the center crosshairs are really thin. Nice clear glass, on par with my more expensive Vortex Viper HST. Despite being first focal plane it is not overly heavy. The clicks on the elevation and wind age are more audible than tactile, but still nice all in all. There is a slight bit of play in the knobs but the clicks themselves are solid. I’ve also had good luck with dialing up for bullet drop at 300 and 400 yards, unfortunately can’t go further than that at my range. All in all, for the money this scope is very much worth it.

OTTICA VALIDA!!!
