A Perfect Fit for my needs
I am a part-time instructor in a nursing class and have used two other brands of IV Arm Simulators: one that cost more and one that was cheaper. Although the more expensive one had more tools and accessories, the “artificial skin” textures of both were very similar: semi-tough, stiff, and only slightly better than a mannequin’s. Also, the respective blood vessels inside those arms never met expectations for simulating real human veins. Because my older practice arms were getting quite worn due to frequent practice punctures, I decided to try this one based on the claims that its skin was soft and realistic. To my pleasant surprise, there really was a night and day difference. The silicone texture in this arm (see photos) was much better than the rubber-like PVC material of my other ones. This arm was very easy to set up using the instructions provided and the skin texture really was close to working on real people. In my class demonstrations, I was able to successfully draw blood every time. And perhaps that is the only complaint that I have. There should be an option (different vein) that is more challenging to find. That would help med and nursing school students enhance their IV skills and ability to locate more-difficult-to-find veins. This arm is almost as good as (maybe even better than) the expensive ones that the school has but at a price my students can afford. I can’t recommend this product highly enough for anyone who needs to practice IV procedures outside a classroom setting.

あくまでも練習用
18ゲージの注射器は使うと漏れます 24ゲージの手持ちの針は、逆血確認できませんでした。 練習用にはいいかも知れません。 漏れたところはシリコン接着剤で封鎖しました。(別売)

Good for paramedic or phlebotomy students
Real feel skin, gives flash in the IV, easy enough to set up and looks great. Would reccomend for any paramedic or phlebotomy student, very durable and good quality skin

Disappointing
If you’re looking to buy this for Assistance with IVs, it might work. I bought it because I needed to brush up on my skills for phlebotomy and blood draws. The veins are not apparent and definitely make it difficult to practice dexterity. I will keep it and use it, but definitely look for a better product if you need to see the veins to practice.

More life like
Just got my arm and set it up. Used it a few times and it seems like it is going to be great for teaching IV insertions. Finding the veins and inserting the needle felt more life like than the arm I had been teaching with. I look forward to testing it out with the other new nurses.
