Inrush Current Clamp Multimeter, BTMETER BT-570N TRMS 5999 Display Clamp-on Amp Meter for AC/DC Voltage Amperage Ohm Temperature Test

HI, I am working in the aviation field and was shopping around for an AC/DC meter. Comparing local hardware stores and other vendors. After some research I found that this BTMETER BT-570C-APP was the best deal I could find in a short time. The box arrived and everything was there as advertised. I really liked the design of the temp probe with not just a thermo-couple at the end, but a nice steel rod. The meter felt solid and could probably take some beating. It came with short but to the point instructions with lots of specifications listed. Bootup time of the screen was quick and all the functions are easy to use. What really blew my mind was the BLUETOOTH function. As per instruction I downloaded the app and without any problems I could see the displayed data on my phone, far away. On top of that you get analog, graph and table data which can be stored, sent and printed. Not very fancy graphics, but it does the job. That is quite impressive for such a inexpensive tool. Didn't even check what others charge for that capability. Very impressive. Some little things could be improved upon. The selector dial has are triangle on a red background. Would be nice if that would be more highlighted (white or black pointer). It is a bit hard to see in low light conditions. On the same token, I would like to have a back-lit screen. Time will tell how it will hold up to the daily abuse, but I think this is a great tool for everyone in the electronic field. Hope this helps...

Was looking for a recording device to determine power usage for our well. Since it is 240V, I couldn't just plug in a Killawatt device. This BTMeter just clamped on to one leg going to the well pump and showed amps drawn when it ran. Installed the app on an iPhone and it prompted me to enable bluetooth. The app then connected with the BTMeter automatically and the app was showing the measurement on the meter. I pressed start and ran a load of laundry. Then clicked save and selected to save in excel format. Then I connected to iPhone to my PC and used iTunes to get the files. Then I opened the CSV file as a spreadsheet and could see all the measurements which allowed me to see how often the pump kicked on, how long it ran each time, and the amperage drawn. This allowed me to calculate the KVA used by pump which is usually higher than the KW usage, but can be used as a conservative estimate of cost. Likes: * worked out of the box * app easy to set up and use for measurements (ran for 1-1/2 hour at 120 measurements/second) * was able to extract the CSV file into a spreadsheet and calculate the totals in there. Cautions: * the iOS app seems to have a bug that it will not show the data collected or graph the data, but the data was still recorded to CSV file. * the process of getting the data file off the iPhone and onto the computer takes a bunch of steps. Would be nicer to be able to just share the file to an email. * positioning of current clamp can be touchy and sometimes had to reposition to read zero when pump was off.

The device seems to work well monitoring and recording AC current. The problem is when I pressed save on the data screen I get a message that it is saving the data. I don't know where it saved on the iPhone or iPad. I tried to get help from the manufacturer. The help they sent me was to basically read the help screen off the device and type it into the response. I still don't know where it saves the data or how to find it. The device would be much more useful to me if I could find for the date is is stored so I can credit often save it. As a side note, much of the information on the help screen is displayed from a Chinese PC using kanji. This is no help in the USA

its realy convenient being able to adjust voltage from another room wile monitoring using the app the voltage at its end, i used to have to go back and forth from room to room checking the voltage then adjusting then checking and so on, dont have to stay in same room monitoring it , monitor from anywhere, also app logs and graphs, very convenient, i didn't have any issues installing on a android phone, installed "Intelligent Clamp Meter" installs one button normal no questions asked, very easy to install, though strangely enough it would not connect at first, then i gave up after trying several times ready to return item, i put it on table to get the box to return it, then the multimeter feel on wood floor wile i was in other room , i went to see if it still worked and low and behold after that it connected to Bluetooth automatically,now i did change battery just before that from the battery it comes with to a much better battery, was it the fall or the battery, dont care, i haven't had an issue since and i use it daily. its fast don't have to wait, it also meters fast no delays and adjustable , also back light on lcd stays on till you turn it off, at this price point being able to monitor voltages and or amps from a far, lcd back light stays on, its fast and logs and graphs, logs and graphs are great for determining voltage dips, monitoring a charge controller and so much more , not one negative from me for this item and wouldn't trade it for anything in same price point, just what i was looking for, makes my job so much easier, note ; its big, build quality very good, no wire/cable to big for clamp, nice case, may opt to put a white dot on dial if working in dark places

Had to return it. I thought this would be a great meter but was disappointed on a number of things. It finally stopped measuring dc voltage and I sent it back. There is a learning curve to measuring DC voltage and the company doesn't really explain it. I have used AC clamp on meters for years and expected this to work like they did. But it doesn't. Explaining the differences takes time and I put a video up on Abundant rv life because I bought this to work on my motorhome, solar, inverters, etc. All DC amps. The problems seem to center around the fact that measuring AC amps demagnetizes the jaws and DC amps magnetize the jaws. This leaves residual magnetism that the meter reads which throws everything off. The company makes a small mention that you need to use a key called the REL key. In the instructions they describe the use of the REL key and I discounted it's purpose for my use. But besides the original purpose of a REL key, there is another use of it for the DC amps. But having to use it, defeats the purpose of the Buetooth App. You would constantly have to run back to the meter to rel it out. If not the meter could be reading wrong and you are always in doubt about what it says. Plus the App didn't work correctly on my android phone. I had to reboot the phone each time to get it to work. Then it stopped measuring DC volts and that was the final straw. Again explained in the video. Will this work for some people? Yes I imagine that some people may use it and for the price it is relatively cheap. AC amps works fine and the app would be handy with AC. Also it does not measure Fahrenheit which was another annoyance.

The meter works great, but the data logging shuts off after an hour or so. I hoping to be able to log the usage over a 24 hour period.

Great meter for the price! Although keep the price in mind - your not getting a 300$ meter for - 45 but this is still an outstanding meter! Use the clamp for AC and DC amps! Most meters in this price range only do AC. Remember that you cant use the AC clamp on any meter to go around a whole electrical cord but you have to go around 1 of the 3 wires inside. I almost made that mistake- see my pics for a extension cord I made up to help take measurements on electrical cords. Overall the meter feels nice, not too cheap feeling except the rotor switch is slightly cheap feeling but for the price you couldn’t ask for better. The probes feel nice too. Another plus is the nice carrying case. The App works great too- Bluetooth so only About 30 ft... but it connects easily if you follow directions and really is useful especially for monitoring something over time. The meters works great, although I cannot speak to its accuracy but it seemed fairly accurate for the measurements I tested. But once again for 45 bucks you can’t ask for a 300 meter! I attached a pic of the spec sheet if interested It does only measure temp in Celsius whole numbers, but I didn’t buy it for this... although F would be nice to have too Over all- love it! Great deal!

I'm going five stars because Bluetooth is very easy to pair and works very well. The selection knob is cheap and I am afraid it will break. The buttons do way more than you would expect. Select range, each value and then AC or D.C. You pretty much must use the backlight to see HZ, Auto. The larger top button must be held in for two seconds to backlight. The temp is in C only which is okay but the range is only -20C to 120C. Operating range is narrow too. Save your manual and study it. I love the best feature❤️D.C. Current to 750amps from clamp!! I can't tell you how awesome this is. I now have three. Two Milwaukees, both repaired (one reads 21 amps always) and this one. I check alternators in vehicles, check battery discbarge, find parasitic losses, etc. I love it. I won't tell you how they make me lots of money but they do!

A lot of money for a device that only makes beeping sounds and flashes its LED screen, while what you actually ordered was a multimeter. Looks impressive, but does nothing. Nice for the Christmas tree, but not for your toolbox. Useless. That’s why I returned it. The little carrying case that comes with it is very handy, and would go well with a multimeter that actually works. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

Habe das Teil zurückgeschickt. Man kann sich aussuchen was für einen "gemessenen" Wert man möchte. Angezeigt wurden sogar negative! Ströme. Für mich unbrauchbar

Bluetoothで飛ばせるので、数値が見にくい場所などでもiPhoneではっきりと確認出来るので大変便利で気に入りました。

Really nice bluetooth AC DC Clamp Multimeter. It helps a lot with phone connected with it.
