Q: Can this be run in reverse to suck the air in?

You cannot the motor will have to be expose outside element which this is not possible.

Q: How tight do the shutters close (primary concerned for winter months)?

The shutters do close completely, but are not very thick and are not air tight!

Q: What is the Wire length, fan to thermostat.

The cord is about 5 feet 6 inches and that plugs into a control box that is 5 1/2 inches long. The cord is not connected to the fan, you will have to connect the wires to the motor. So if you need a longer ord you can buy one and wire it to the motor.

Q: Does the thermostat just plug into the wall and the fan into the thermostat? I don't see anything that shows me where the thermostat gets it's power.

Yes, the thermostat is plugged into the wall, and the fan plugs into the thermostat. In installed an outlet high on the wall of my shed. I wanted it high so it would sense the hotter temperature in my shed. I did purchase the service plan, just in case. Very easy install, and so far it is amazing and worth every penny. This is my second fan from this company and I am completely satisfied.
