It works
Finally... My cats are finally flea free. No more scratching. No more scabs. No more screaming at me. The cap was confusing, and I ruined one before realizing the cap doesn't actually come off, but it works. I'm so glad. Just turn it and squeeze. It's really simple. It does leave a large amount of residue, but it works.

Works quickly and easy to apply. Highly recommend.
A stray cat that came up to the house was full of fleas, scabs and sores from bites and scratching. While she was eating some food, I quickly applied the dose (super easy and fast to apply). Next day when she returned for food, she allowed me to use a flea comb on her and not one flea was found. She is now healed and her coat looks great. She is now fed, fixed and a lovely cat! I highly recommend it.

Saw dead fleas falling off my cat within hours - worth every penny
This is by far superior flea treatment. People complaining about smell.. well DUHH, it's a medication. What do you expect it to smell like.. Perfume? Give me a break.Application was easy and typical if you've used other flea treatments. You just part their fur on the back of their neck and squeeze the tube (above the shoulder blades.) Within a few hours I was seeing black spots on my orange tabby - which were literally dead fleas. I have been dealing with fleas for the last 6 months and trying products, and this is the first where I could visually see results. When I ran a flea comb through my boy's fur I could see dead fleas on it! My poor boy was miserable, and scratching his skin non-stop for the last few days bc of the fleas. He has been sleeping like a baby all day, probably bc he's been restless from itching and discomfort. My cat had no discomfort or concerning skin/fur reactions although his hair looks a little spikey like a punkrocker. The "bad smell" was worth 100% worth it. If you're seriously THAT concerned about smell then use one of the ineffective products offered by other sellers.

Cheristin has gotten an ongoing flea infestation under control for me
My apartment building has been infested with fleas since January. I have tried everything to manage the problem: natural pet-safe sprays, diatomaceous earth, flea traps, daily vacuuming, etc. I've seriously spent hundreds of dollars on trying to get rid of fleas that other tenants brought in to the building, and it's been a nightmare. However, I have used Cheristin on my cat with no ill effects on her (the medicine does have a smell like freshly turned soil, which is weird but not the end of the world), and I have been spraying the apartment with a mixture of IGR and bifenthrin about once a week. The flea problem still isn't fully resolved, as I don't think the other tenants in the building have been treating their apartment, so I still get itchy from time to time. My cat also seems to scratch herself more often in the few days before she's due for another application of Cheristin-- this is the only reason I'm not giving the product a full five stars. But the problem is nowhere near as bad as it used to be. I never even see the fleas anymore, and I used to be able to see them hopping off of the carpet when shining a flashlight on them. If you're struggling with fleas, my advice is to not waste time and money with the all-natural solutions because they aren't going to work. You need to spray poison, and you need to treat your cat with medication. Both the environment and the pet need to be treated; this is a frustrating cycle that never seems to end. Cheristin is what has gotten the problem under control for me. I suspect I won't be fully flea-free until I move out of this janky apartment, but at least we aren't being eaten alive anymore. Also, my cat is fairly petite at nine pounds. This has been safe for her and she doesn't even seem to notice the medicine on her head. I appreciate this medicine's efficacy at reducing her itchiness and general suffering. One more detail: she got tapeworms from the fleas when I was first dealing with the problem. I took her to the vet, who said she might need to come in for more than one tapeworm treatment if she caught them from the fleas again. While I do think there's still a flea or two hopping around, she has not had tapeworms since the first visit to the vet back in February. I attribute this success to Cheristin! It seems to be killing the fleas before she can get around to accidentally ingesting them.Good luck with your flea woes.

The Fleas Didn’t Stand a Chance—And My Spoiled Ginger Prince Approves
If you’ve ever battled fleas in the southern U.S., particularly in Georgia, you know those little pests don’t play fair. I swear the fleas here are built different—stronger, sneakier, and somehow immune to most over-the-counter treatments. Enter: Cheristin, the only thing that’s finally given both me and my cat a break. My 5-year-old, 9.3-pound, formerly feral ginger cat who once lived under my house and slowly (over the course of a year) decided I was trustworthy enough to accept cuddles and full-time indoor luxury. He has a catio for safe outdoor time—he’s earned his spoiled status. Outside time = fleas. We tried shampoos, natural sprays, and the kind of expensive spot-ons that come with a dissertation-length warning label. Nothing worked and kept him feeling okay—until Cheristin. Here’s what stood out immediately:🕒 Fast-Acting ReliefThis stuff starts working in 30 minutes and lives up to the hype. Within a few hours, I noticed a dramatic reduction in scratching and the flea “sightings” (aka when he runs across the room like something’s biting his soul).💥 Kills Fleas Dead—FastThe claims say 98–100% flea kill within 12 hours. I believe it. By the next morning, it was like the fleas had packed up and left town. No scratching, no twitching, no more flea comb drama.🧴 Easy ApplicationThe applicator has a small rounded tip that makes it easy to apply right between the shoulder blades—aka the “zone of tolerance” for most cats. My guy barely noticed. No greasy residue, no strong smell, no weird side effects.🌿 No Nausea or Weird ReactionsSome treatments have made him lethargic or nauseated in the past. Not this one. He went back to sunbathing like a king and zooming around the house without missing a beat.🙌 Multi-Cat FriendlyWhile I just have the one, I appreciate that Cheristin comes in a one-size-fits-all dose. If you’re managing a pride of cats, this is so much easier than juggling sizes and labels.A few helpful tips:- Apply at night so it has time to fully absorb before your cat resumes back-flip grooming.- One dose truly lasts the full 6 weeks—though I set a calendar reminder at 5 weeks because Georgia fleas are relentless.- Works even with cats who spend time outdoors (in controlled settings like catios or screened porches). In short, Cheristin saved my sanity and let my spicy little ginger boy enjoy his catio time again—flea-free and fabulous. If you’re at your wit’s end and nothing else has worked, give this a try. Your cat deserves comfort, and let’s be real—so do you.

Expensive but it kills our resistant fleas
So fleas are the bane of many pet owners' existence. It's a constant struggle for Texans because we don't even really have a flea season - it's all year long. Still, I managed to stay on top of things until a couple of years ago, when I noticed our topical, once-a-month flea treatments didn't seem to be working as well. Over time, they stopped working altogether. And I tried them all - Advantage, Frontline, Advantage II, Frontline Plus. I began resorting to using Capstar in between monthly treatments just to keep my pets from being eaten up. And of course, I sprayed my yard, washed the pet bedding regularly, vacuumed daily, put diatomaceous earth on my pets, and sprayed the inside of my house. (My six cats are strictly indoor cats but my dogs do go outside to potty.)I finally accepted that our fleas had become resistant to common flea treatments and went in search of other treatments. A friend told me about Cheristin so I bought it and applied it to all of my cats. The box says it's best to apply to the base of the back of the head rather than between the shoulders and cautions not to let cats ingest the product. Holy cow - this stuff works! Within 24 hours, I found dead fleas on my cats when I combed them. Within 3 days, I could not find a single, live flea on any of my cats! Hurray! This is a once a month treatment. This product alone will not eliminate a flea infestation. You will need to use a multipronged approach by washing pet bedding, vacuuming daily, treating carpeting and soft furnishings, etc. You may even need to use flea foggers if you have a bad outbreak in your home but this does a good job of killing any fleas the take up residence on your cat.All topical flea treatments have to potential to cause localized hair loss, and other symptoms that are more serious so I strongly suggest watching your cat carefully when you first apply this, or any other, flea treatment. I was a little anxious but all of my cats were fine afterward and they are flea-free. It's kind of expensive but it works so I have it on Subscribe and Save now. Thank goodness I found something that works again!Update: More than 2 summer months later, my cats are still flea-free with no bad side effects. Not even any localized hair loss, which they often had when I used Frontline. Very pleased.

Half worked
Only worked for one of my cats. The other cat it only lasted like 2 weeks and she’s got fleas again. It did work right away after application though.
