I’m really impressed with this reverse camera by Auto Vox. One of the biggest advantages is that it requires no hard wiring at all, which made installation incredibly simple. The magnetic attachment is very strong and secure, and it hasn’t budged once – it feels totally reliable. Set-up was a breeze, and the 7-inch screen is more than big enough, providing a clear and high-quality image of the rear of the car. It’s made reversing much safer and easier, giving me real peace of mind. The picture quality is sharp and detailed, even in lower lighting, so it’s a huge help with visibility and awareness. Overall, I’m very happy with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, high-quality reverse camera.

The others were fitted on our motor homes, worked well, rarely needed charging and were reliable. The monitor powers via the cigarette lighter connection and comes on when you start the engine or activate it via button the lighter connector. We selected this one as it's magnetic and so easily be moved from one vehicle to another. Very useful if you have multiple vehicles, or only need a reversing camera for specific trips. It avoids the expense of paying a garage or auto electrician to fit one permanently, or breaking into the wiring loom for a DIY fix if you aren't confident. It sticks like cement to the car - no fear of it coming loose. No worries about fixing to a long unit either, range is excellent. Partner walked several houses away and round the corner and the picture never wavered. Be aware it's not the prettiest unit aesthetically, and quite large, so check dimensions if your car is small. An improvement might be to add extra connectivity - USB as well as/instead of 12v cigarette lighter Also, as so many of these cameras are fitted to cameras or motor homes an option in WHITE would be great if materials permit.

Came professionally packed in high quality carrying case. Instructions and in good English, no guessing involved. Also, simple and concise. Fitted on the back of my motorhome in around 20 minutes. Took a while as it is GRP shell so drilled, screwed and siliconed in place. Positioned high quality monitor on dash, turned on and it connected withing around five seconds. Menu buttons easy to follow. All personal settings done within around five minutes. Picture quality excellent. No drop outs at all and the 1080p is crystal clear. The 35 degree adjustment is handy to fine tune the angle. Night vision is also very good Record facility is continuous on a loop and is easy to playback any recording as the date/time stamp is on each one. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and performance. I would certainly give it top stars for value for money. Age old saying...You get what you pay for.

fabulous product. set up was literally 2 minutes; screen sticks very securely to the dashboard and then stick the camera on the back of the car. Could not have been easier. Crystal clear picture and after a few months use have not needed to recharge as the solar batteries are suberb. all in all couldn't be happer.

I like it. This is a great upgrade from Auto-Vox. Having a magnetic camera eliminates the risk of theft. Also transferring to another angle on the vehicle or even another vehicle altogether is really easy. There's no need for tools to swap it out & can be stored with the receiver screen in the carry case out of sight elsewhere. More than enough transmission range for most cars, vans & wagons ect. Good so far. Like the previous Auto-Vox rear cameras this doesn't need wiring through the vehicle.

I purchased this Autovox Magnetic Solar Wireless Reversing Camera to upgrade from a previous model from the same manufacturer which I have had for the last three years. This model is magnetic and allowed very quick fitting above the bike rack on the rear of my motorhome. This allows an improved high-level view of the area to the rear of the vehicle, which I found particularly useful when changing lanes in heavy traffic on a recent trip as well as the usual reversing into camping spots. The camera comes in a hard case with two mounting plates and screws, one flat and the other slightly angled giving plenty of options for adjusting the view (the camera itself also rotates to adjust as needed) In my case I mounted the flat plate then attached the magnetic camera and secured with the security screw. This will allow me to dismount for winter storage which I find very useful, it also allows quick dismount and fitting on another vehicle if needed, adding to its utility. The video monitor was also a very quick plug and play install and once powered on connected immediately with the camera, giving an excellent clear image, at this stage I was able to adjust camera up/down to align distance lines as needed for my motorhome. The monitor has two time settings: 120 seconds and 240 seconds which once activated gives you plenty of time to complete your reversing manoeuvre. As mentioned above I also found it useful when in heavy traffic and changing lanes to make sure no one was in my blind spot and also keep a general eye on traffic behind. My motorhome length of 7.2 meters, signal reception is excellent. I fully charged with USB before mounting, and the inbuilt solar panel on top of the camera body is well exposed to light, so should keep the camera charge topped up. (I will update review at the end of the season as to observed battery life.) Overall I am very happy with this purchase, delivery was fast, fitting was quick and easy and the quality of image is very good.

I have the Autovox Solar4 camera and monitor fitted to my motorhome and it has proven to be a superb bit of kit. The Solar5 was bought for my wife's Kodiaq and horse box trailer combination and it too has been superb and a real aid to my wife when reversing. The two cameras provide all round vision as one is rear mounted and the other is mounted at the front of the trailer. The two camera kit is very comprehensive and comes with straight or angled brackets to mount the magnetic bases of the camera's should you not have a magnetic surface to mount directly. The base provides a very strong magnetic grip and the fact that the camera units can be removed and stored in the supplied bag is a real aid to security. As my wife's horsebox is aluminium and non-magnetic, I bonded and screwed the steel plates to the trailer roof. The camera's and the monitor paired straight out of the box and the whole set up was completed in less than 10 minutes. If you have a magnetic surface to mount the cameras on then it is instant. The monitor is excellent, clear and sufficiently wide to give a useful view of the surroundings and as the camera's are mounted high, a superb view looking down on traffic to the rear and any obstacles to the front. The parking guidelines are a real aid to reversing and as my wife is not over confident when reversing, she has found them to be fantastic and importantly, the stop lines allow her to judge sufficient room to lower the ramp when loading or unloading. The kit comes with a 32gb SD card and the monitor playback quality is excellent by day and night. The option to leave the monitor on permanantly means it can be used as a rear view mirror which, as the trailer blocks out the cars rear window, is a fantastic aid. The monitor DVR has a loop recording function and date/time stamps to identify any unfortunate incident. A reassuring record should someone hit you from the rear or, when the other camera is forward facing, from the front. This is a superb kit. Easy to fit, works straight out of the box and provides a real sense of security and confidence when driving. The two camera set-up covers and records both front and rear, the rear camera reverse parklines are a real aid to manouevering and the fact that you can remove and store both camera's should you wish is a real bonus. Add in that both cameras are solar powered, the carry case is very high quality, an SD card is included and the WiFi reception over an 11 metre car and trailer combination is quite superb. The whole kit is very well designed, made to an extremely high (and weather resistant) standard and wonderful value. Highly recommended.

Have only just set this up and will be testing it properly on a month long touring caravan holiday soon but so far initial testing has produced great results. Everything is supplied that you need and it all seems to be extremely well made. I attached the magnetic plate to my fibreglass caravan using the adhesive backing supplied and it seems to really stick well. I have gone round it with Sikaflex 522 just to make sure. The camera/monitor has an extremely impressive range and the picture is extremely clear. Overall seems a great product and I’m really looking forward to my first trip. One addition which I would find useful is some form of rubber backing with straps attached for the monitor as I don’t want to stick the stand to my dashboard. I intend to use a piece of foam to protect my interior mirror and attach the monitor with elastic bands. Would highly recommend this for the price.

I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but this backup camera blew me away. Installation was exactly as advertised—took me barely a minute to get it on my truck. No wires, no drilling, no stress. Just stuck it on, turned it on, and it worked right away. The base is really strong, and it hasn’t moved at all even after a few long drives. The 1080P monitor is super clear, even at night. I was surprised how far the signal reaches—I’ve used it on my truck and the video feed stayed stable the whole time. The solar charging is a great touch since I don’t have to worry about running out of battery. It comes with a storage bag too, which is perfect for when I want to switch vehicles or store it safely. Overall, this is easily one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. It made backing up so much easier and safer. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reliable, portable backup camera!!!!

Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag. The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

Autonomie complète de la caméra grâce à l’alimentation solaire : pas de souci de recharge. Image de qualité sur l’écran 5" (1080P), même à bonne distance. La portée sans fil est excellente, stable même au-delà de 20 mètres. Seul point à noter : l’écran doit être alimenté par prise allume-cigare / USB, donc pas totalement autonome, mais rien de bloquant. Très satisfait, je recommande sans hésiter pour une solution mobile, pratique et fiable.

Nach einigen Vergleichen habe ich mich für das Auto-Vox Solar 5 Rückfahrkamerasystem mit 2 Kameras entschieden – und ich könnte nicht zufriedener sein. Schon beim Auspacken fällt die hochwertige Verarbeitung aller Komponenten auf. Alles wirkt robust, passgenau und langlebig – genau das, was man sich für den problemlosen Einsatz im Urlaub wünscht. Die Installation ist ein echtes Highlight: Kameras anbringen, Monitor platzieren, einschalten – fertig! Kein umständliches Kabelverlegen, kein Werkstattbesuch, kein Stress. In wenigen Minuten war das System betriebsbereit. Die Funkreichweite ist beeindruckend. Selbst bei meinem langen Wohnwagengespann bleibt das Bild absolut stabil und ohne Verzögerungen – perfekt zum Rangieren und auch während der Fahrt. Besonders praktisch: Der Monitor lässt sich dauerhaft eingeschalten. So nutze ich ihn wie einen digitalen Rückspiegel und habe ales hinter meinen Wohnwagen im Blick. Das Bild ist klar und detailreich, auch bei schwierigen Lichtverhältnissen. Der große Monitor bietet eine sehr gute Übersicht, auch wenn man dafür etwas Platz auf dem Armaturenbrett einplanen sollte – für mich ein lohnender Kompromiss. Zur Akkulaufzeit kann ich nach kurzer Nutzung noch nichts Endgültiges sagen, der erste längere Urlaub wird es zeigen. Bisher jedoch läuft alles reibungslos. Da dies bereits mein drittes Produkt von Auto-Vox ist und alle Geräte bisher ohne Probleme arbeiten, kann ich auch dieses Set uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Für alle, die eine zuverlässige, einfach zu installierende und qualitativ hochwertige Rückfahrkamera suchen, ist das Solar 5 Set die perfekte Wahl!
