People are saying that this toy isnt suitable for the child they have purchased it for a lot of them are saying they bought it for 2-3 year olds if you read the product description before buying it you would have known that its for children aged 3 and over and it also warns that small pieces are a choking hazard. If you ignorant people had looked first you may have realised that it was not suited to what you were lookin for however i have bought it for a child of the correct age specified by the description and if you want to leave your child alone with this so u can get a bit of peace an quiet then maybe you should rethink what sorts of toys would be suitable to do so with as a 2 year old really shouldnt be left alone with a toy that clearly states it has small parts which could be a choking hazard. I overall think that with adult supervision for my 3 year old this is a great toy my brother had one about 20 years ago and it hasnt changed same great little train set. My 4 year old also loves it and has a great time watching each of them doing their job to get the coal to Thomas on time!!

Bought this for my nearly 2 year old and he was absolutely fascinated! He's Thomas mad and played with it for hours. The balls are very small and easy to loose, so you do need to play with careful supervision, especially for the under-3s.

My son saved up his pocket money and bought this toy. He absolutely loves it. The trucks won't carry all the balls but that doesn't distract from the fun. I love the part where Thomas does a three point turn. It's good quality and easy to set up. It is repetitive but that's why my son loves it.

Not easy to fit together. 5 years old needed assistance from two dentists and a retired professor. But, once the parts were in place and the system sorted out it was fun for the child, and ingenious. The toy is a closed loop and the child cannot be creative with the parts, so only 4 stars.

I purchased this for my son who turned 3 - it’s amazing - he loves it. He can’t really play with it but more build it and then watch it - but the way it works is amazing and he really enjoys watching it. I never usually leave any reviews but this one definitely is a great product.

I bought this for my 2.5 year old for Christmas who is Thomas crazy. Pros -colourful, big thomas, clever idea that when all set up perfectly works well. Cons - has to be set up exactly right in order for the battery engine to move between the different pieces. Looks good but then not really a play toy for kids as you expect the child.just to watch as opposed to play with the toy. Overall looks really well but not really a toy for younger kids. Also it is frustrating when it doesn't work and you spill all the balls. Maybe older kids would have the patience for it. I bought this on a black friday deal for £20 which I think is a fair price for it but I wouldn't pay more.

Not good instructions. Took me forever. My grandson was fascinated. He watched the little train go round and round for near on 2 hours. Bit young to play properly but come summer he will old enough to play properly and enjoy thank you

I had a big loader as a kid, I saw this just before a freinds son's birthday and bought it for him (Totaly not so I could play with it haha). It is far easier to assemble than the one I had in the 199X, same layout but the plastic track is far more flexible which is good.
