Didn't connect with Sony bluray player. Can't connect with Jio set top box. If it couldn't connect then what is the use of it.

I have been really frustrated by buying different electronic gadgets of any kind and not being able to make them work at all or if I can I have to get a PhD in their instruction manual! This one on the other hand, has been designed by a human for a change. I inherited this TV RCA from a home I bought; there was no remote and I bought this remote controller. In a few months it was up and running. I gladly and without any hesitation gave a 5 star to this device and well done the designers for making an idiot friendly remote controller

I thought this would be difficult to set up with my tv because I have a not so well known Dynex model. I was surprised to find that this remote comes with an auto program feature that is very fool proof. Took me about 10 minutes to setup from start to finish. The remote works near perfectly with my tv. The only qualm I have with it is that there are some glitches when I use it with my roku that I have not noticed when using my original roku remote. For one, whenever I go to the next episode in Netflix, it auto mutes so I have to skip a frame for the sound to turn on again. Also, sometimes when I try to skip ahead, it will freeze and I have to exit Netflix and go back to play the episode for it to work again.

I have a TCL Roku TV and the numbers do work for selecting channels. You have to use the complete channel number, for example 4.1, then press enter. The only shortcoming I find is this remote does not have instant replay. It will go forward and backward on a streaming program, but I miss instant replay, which goes back a few seconds only. Overall, this saves me having to switch from one remote to another. Follow-up: I find sometimes the numbers don't work! My solution is to go to Home, Settings, then TV Picture settings; scroll down to Live TV, and click. Numbers work again. Maybe that refreshes the input. There are probably other ways to fix this glitch, or to avoid it. After that, I can punch in the channel number and don't have to press enter...
