Works as expected

easy to read - green / yellow / and red are easy to see the measurements a little small but readable. I just knocked a star off for a simple reason - there is zero resistance to the slide part so its harder to use than it could be... it would be nice if it would hold the position a little instead of sliding freely. the tool is still usable but you have to hold it together if you're going to bring it up to eye level where you can see it or bend down to the tire to look if you need to see the measurement (in 32nds of an inch) you can clearly see the color so if all you are concerned about is making sure your still "safe legal" tread wise not in the red -- not a problem but if you want to see the numbers -- pinch the slide part so it doesn't move or you'll lose the measurement . decent tool for the cost but it could be better with a simple change.
