Works well
Works as described. I used this with my Sony FDR-AX53 Handycam. It allows me to take a Line Out level from my audio mixer and feed that into the mic input of the Handycam. The 1/8-inch jacks are gold plated and there is also a gain control.

Perfect for my Situation
I do a lot of video recording using a mic to a mixer to a looping station and then a main line out to a camera mic in. The sound from the line was overwhelming for the camera mic in and I would have to lower the volume from the line out to the camera mic in so low that it was hard to monitor. I also had the in camera mic volume set to its lowest.This device solved my issue. It works extremely well for my situation and the volume control is a big plus. I get no distortion or noise. It is so great and I appreciate how affordable it is,This is a legitimate review from a very satisfied consumer. If this doesn’t work for you it is because you are not using it for its intended purpose. It is an attenuator and the purpose is to reduce the strength of a line out to a mic line in. A line out signal strength is too strong for a mic in and will give you distortion without an attenuator.

Pas encombrant et efficace. Idéal pour atténuer un signal pris sur une table de mixage à envoyer sur un dictaphone. En enregistrant un spectacle en extérieur, on monte les vidéos et la piste son sur le banc de montage pour avoir un bon film sans bruits parasites.
